Match 1: Brodus Clay v. Edge
After not being able to hit a DDT on the big Brodus Clay, Edge came off the top rope with a cross body. Brodus turned the tide after Edge tried to pulled him over for the pin, by sitting on Edge’s chest. As Clay dragged Edge to the corner and ran at him, Edge moved down, leaving Brodus to smash into the corner. Edge then came off the middle ropes to bulldog Clay to the mat. Brodus fought off again, when Christian made his way to the ring, attacking Alberto Del Rio. As Clay went to help his mentor, and grabbed Christian by the neck, dragging him up to the apron. Christian punched Clay who turned around, finding himself speared and pinned by Edge. In the meantime, Del Rio and Christian continued to battle on the outside, falling over the announcer’s table and having to be separated by numerous referees. Teddy Long came out and declared that to settle things tonight, Del Rio would face Christian one on one, and to make sure it was one on one, the two would face off inside a steel cage.

Match 2: Kofi Kingston v. King Shamus
This competitive match found the Intercontinental champion and the US champion intensely battling in a match where momentum had shifted multiple times. On the outside, Kofi threw Shamus into the steel steps, but Shamus rolled over them and when Kofi approached the stairs, Shamus kicked the stairs into Kofi’s knee. The hurting Kofi rolled back into the ring, and Shamus followed. When Kofi got up, Shamus quickly layed him out with a jumping kick to the face, and was able to get the winning pin.
Winner: Shamus
In the back Big Show confronted Kane and reminded him of when they were tag team champions and everyone shook in their boots at the sight of them, and he thought they should do it again. Kane grabbed Show by the throat, and Show followed suit, grabbing Kane by his. The two could not do much and let go at the same time, after which Kane laughed and told Show that he completes him. Show smirked and called Kane one seriously crazy man.
Match 3: Cody Rhodes v. Trent Beretta
Cody came out with a towel over his head, sporting his mask. He took off his tie and walked into the ring, stood facing away from Beretta, until he threw down the towel and charged Beretta knocking him over with a kick to the chest. Cody gave up no offense to his opponent as he quickly disposed of Beretta after head butting Beretta with his protective mask and pinning him. He then put the towel over his head, and walked to the back.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
Match 4: Kelly Kelly v. Layla
When Kelly backed Layla into a corner and flipped across the ring to jump into her, Layla booted her in the back of the head. When Layla went in for the attack, Kelly fought her off. Kelly was able to kick Layla down and head to the middle ropes, but was distracted by a screaming Michelle from the outside, allowing Layla to sweep her legs from under her, sending Kelly crashing to the mat, and allowing Layla to score a quick pin fall.
Winner: Layla
Match 5: Kane & Big Show v. The Corre (Gabriel & Slater) (Tag Team Championship)
After Gabriel and Slater tried to take out Kane’s knee, Kane was able to tag Show who came in with instant offense, and eventually catch Slater with a choke slam, and covered him for a sure victory. But Gabriel yanked the ref out of the ring and got his team disqualified. Kane and Show began taking their anger out on Slater and Gabriel, until Jackson and Wade Barrett came to the ring and helped to annihilate the two giants. They used the steel steps to try to damage Kane’s shoulder by laying a set of steps on him, and slamming another set of steps into them. Jackson and Barrett then lifted the Big Show and slammed him face first through the announcers’ table. The Corre celebrated in the ring as Show and Kane were layed out on the outside.
Winners: Kane & Big Show (by Disqualification)
In the back, Todd Grisham interviewed Del Rio and asked about the ramifications of tonight’s steel cage match. Del Rio said it wasn’t funny to lock him up in a cage with an animal like Christian because he (Del Rio) was not an animal.
Match 6: Jack Swagger v. Chris Masters
After Swagger locked Masters in with an ankle lock and made him tap out, Michael Cole got in the ring and locked his own ankle lock on a fallen Masters.
Winner: Jack Swagger
Match 7: Rey Mysterio v. Ted DiBiase
After a high paced match full of innovative maneuvers, DiBiase almost hooked the Million Dollar Dream choke, but Rey rolled out of it, flipping DiBiase into the ropes. He then hi him with the 619 and came off the top rope with a body splash to win the match.
Winner: Rey Mysterio
Match 8: Christian v. Alberto Del Rio (Steel Cage Match)
Del Rio wasted no time in attacking Christian as soon as the bell rang shortly after Christian entered the cage. After several moments of dominating, Del Rio let Christian fight back in and almost allowed himself to get hit by the Kill-switch Engage. The two went back and forth until Christian whipped Del Rio into the corner but instead of hitting the buckles, Del Rio ran up the ropes and up the side of the cage. Christian chased him up and after fighting for what seemed like an eternity on the top ropes, Del Rio was able to mount Christian on his shoulders and back drop him into the ring. Del Rio continued the offensive after struggling to his feet. Even when it seemed Christian would turn the tide of the match, Del Rio threw Christian into the side of the cage, and then used his feet to press Christian’s face into the steel. After beating on Christian in the middle of the ring, Del Rio scaled the side of the cage, but Christian caught his ankle and yanked him off the top ropes. Del Rio kept fighting back though, mounting Christian on his shoulders and trying to run Christian into the cage. Christian escaped dropping Del Rio to the mat and going for a pin. Christian continued to capitalize. He then crawled for the door just to be pulled back by Del Rio. Christian layed Del Rio out again and went to climb the cage, but Del Rio brought him back down. Del Rio beat up on Christian, and then went for the door, only to have Christian pull him back in. Del Rio tried to reverse on Christian again, hitting him with a DDT. Christian tried to scale the cage but Del Rio got him down. Eventually it was both men scaling the cage, and say on top of it, exchanging punches. As Del Rio climbed to the outside of the cage, Christian joined him on the side of the cage. Del Rio hit Christian repeatedly until Christian fell to the floor winning the match. As Del Rio grabbed the microphone, he displayed his propaganda, until he was interrupted by Edge’s voice who as honking the horn of Del Roi’s car. Edge reached into the front seat of the car pulling out a chair, and threatened to ruin Del Rio’s car with it. Brodus Clay came out and attacked Edge from behind, and he and Del Rio beat up on Edge, hitting him with the steel chair. They left him laying in the aisle as refs came to help Edge.
