One way stand out to an interviewer is to send a letter after an interview to show that you are truly thankful for the experience–as well landing that particular job.
One of the first things you should consider when writing a thank-you letter is when to send it. It is better to send the letter one or two days after the interview so that the employer can remember you. If you delay your letter and send it a week later, you risk having your employer forget your interview. It is crucial that you stand out from the crowd, so make sure that you send a thank-you letter immediately!
The next step is to gather the materials needed for this letter. Rather than sending your letter on cheap paper types such as copy paper, send it on a higher quality paper. Sending higher quality paper–such as all-purpose paper–can let your job interviewer know that you care about the interview and may land you better respect when trying to get that job. As for an envelope, make sure you send it with a business envelope rather than a standard envelope. Like stationery, your employer might be impressed that you paid attention to the details when sending your letter.
When you start the paper, make sure to have your name and contact information centered at the top of the letter. This is important to reinforce your name toward your employer. Following this, have a section addressed to the interviewer with their name and address that is centered towards the left. In a sense, you are simply reiterating the same information that is addressed on the outside of the envelope, however you are now just putting it in the letter if the envelope is lost.

Next comes the body of your letter. This content should be brief and to the point. Do not use fluffy or long passages that may bore your reader, rather thank the interviewer for the opportunity and make some points that can allow your interviewer to remember you. Perhaps you can make a statement about a particular qualification you have for the job, or particular experience that would allow you to be the best candidate.
Overall, make the letter personal and make it genuine. No interviewer likes fake letters that are insincere. Lastly, conclude by writing:
