We as fans always wonder why Dwayne”The Rock” Johnson wont ever return to WWE. Well I’m gonna give you some reasons from what I’ve think he decided to put WWE on the back burner forever. Also I will tell why he won’t ever come back to the WWE.
Okay the first reason is the WWE full-time schedule because its too intense for Dwayne, and he makes more money doing movies, and devoting lesser time to the movies than his work for the WWE. Shooting movies can take a lot of time but I think he gets a better breather shooting the movies than working for WWE. you also have to remember that he has two daughters and he would have a tougher time seeing them dealing with the WWE schedule. It’s much easier for him to spend time with his family being a movie star than being a WWE wrestler. Most movie stars get that grace period to relax and calm their nerves after shooting movies. We all know WWE wrestlers are never done with their work because its an year around job to please the fans. Not to mention all those house shows that are never televised on TV. My theory is house shows is what really what wore him out because he is performing every day and never can rest. Dwayne used to make millions year after year in the WWE, but he can make even more millions doing movies without doing so much work as he did in the WWE.
Dwayne grew out of the character “The Rock.” You may think I’m speaking BS but it has to be some truth to this. From 1998-2004 he was the “Great One” providing us with the most incredible promos and matches we ever seen. Each and every week he had to become “The Rock” for stadium filled crowds who cheered for him more than any wrestler in history. He had to get tired of being portraying that character each and every week on Raw and Smackdown. You know we loved when he would embarrass Michael Cole or Johnathan Coachman but he grew tired of being “The Rock.” That’s why he started telling people to just call him Dwayne Johnson because wants to leave that persona behind them for good. You cant blame him for jumping to the movies, if we were in his shoes we would jump at the opportunity to be a movie star just like he did.
Right around the Dwayne left the WWE, the company began to lose ratings and marketability as a company. We all know that when he left in 2004 that the Attitude Era ended. Most people say that WWE best years was the best 1997-2003. I’m not say that the WWE was wack in 2004 because they still had quality wrestling and great storylines then. They were just missing Dwayne Johnson and he was still making frequent appearances but he was beginning to diminish because he was rarely showing his face on a WWE camera at that point. My theory is he didn’t have a beef with the company because to this day we always hear the rumors that he is still talks to Vince from time to time. I know for a fact when he quit wrestling thousands of people from all over the world stop watching WWE. I used to know a lot of people who would say “I don’t watch WWE because The Rock” ain’t on it no more. After he left ratings did drop and they really did some improvement since then but I’m sure WWE wouldn’t mind having him back right about now.
Dwayne Johnson wont ever return to WWE because he is in a great space now. He is one of the most highest paid movies stars in Hollywood and life is good for him. We all heard in that interview how he admired the UFC and would had pursued it if he were younger again. There you have it, because that sounds like someone who does not intend on ever getting in a wrestling ring again. He also knows that WWE isn’t as popular as it used to be. Im not saying that WWE doesn’t make hundreds of millions dollars a year, because they do make more than 300 million each year, but look at the decreasig PPV buys. Its obvious that WWE has fallen off to a certain extent. If WWE was more popluar and averaging more viewers than we would see a comeback from him. He doesn’t even want to guest host Raw despite him saying that he would. We can’t be angry or mad at him because we should be happy for his current situation, and the only thing we can do is buy a movie ticket and support that cause.
