In watching the gossip circulating around the globe concerning what Charlie Sheen is up to it has occurred to me that most of the world must be bored if they are focused on his life. It appears to me that a lot of people would rather get overly involved in someone Else’s life rather than manage their own. But I guess that is what sells as far as the shows that get the most viewers, not to mention the ratings which come along with all that attention to detail. It seems that people just can’t get enough when it comes to celebrity lives and following the events and circumstances which surround them.
What I fail to see though is just what it is that causes people who other wise are fairly normal to become addicted to the shows which focus so much on what our celebrity personalities are up to every day. We seem to be obsessed with finding out what dresses they were, where they eat lunch, and with whom? One thing is clear, and that is the loyal viewers keep tuning in to these gossip spreading shows every night, which sends the ratings through the roof. All this cult like following continues to create a need for more stories along with a growing population of reporters earning their living from obtaining photos of these famous characters, whether they choose to be photographed or not. Privacy at any level for these poor people is practically out of the question. I guess it all just comes with the territory, and is a fact of life which they all accept when their careers are chosen. Not the life for me, but that’s what makes the world spin. We are all our own person, free to make our own decisions as to how we live our life.
However, in regard to Charlie and whether or not he is presently qualified to parent and care for his children, that’s another matter. This man may be acting in a way that many don’t approve off or condone, but does that make him a bad parent? I say not necessarily so. He has shown irrational behavior and a sense of anger over what is happening with his television contract, which is understandable. It has also been reported that Sheen has full time nanny’s who give care to his boys. It’s not as if those goddesses are care takers for the kids, which I would not approve of. The children were in a safe environment when they were in Charlies home. There were people there who watched over them and made sure that whatever their needs were they got met. Just because his wife had concerns about the kids should not have constituted their removal from the home without a proper investigation by authorities.
It becomes a scary thought when apparently anyone can have their children taken from them by someone simply showing concern and hiring a lawyer without a prov en concern. Makes one wonder just how much power the authorities really do have over all of our lives. This whole episode concerning Charlie and his personal life should have never made it onto the front pages of every paper in the country. These are private matters between business people and family that need to be kept that way. We have all become too concerned with what everyone else in the world does and lost track of what really matters in life, and that is managing our own lives.
I wish Charlie Sheen the best of luck in his pursuit of regaining custody of his children and working out his differences with his business ventures. He deserves the opportunity to present his case to the world on a fair and balanced stage just as anyone else would. Maybe all this will work out for him and his family in due time.
Good Luck to you Charlie Sheen!
