Western New York Local Restaurant Week returns to Buffalo and Rochester Monday, March 28th through Sunday, April 3rd, 2011. Started in 2009, Local Restaurant Week’s goal is to celebrate the food and food service industry of Western New York. More than 150 restaurants will be taking part in the program, which features meals – multi-course dinners, or lunches or dinners for two – for $21.11.
One of the participating restaurants is the Akron House, located at 15 Main St. in Akron. The Akron House is offering two specials: lunch for two for $21.11 or a multi-course dinner for the same price. Lunch offerings include two sandwiches, two desserts, and two beverages (coffee or soda). Dinner courses include fresh bread, salad with homemade dressing, soup, a choice of entrée (Chicken Marsala, English Haddock, Shepherd’s Pie, or Jack Daniels Pork and Greens), and a choice of dessert (Chocolate Mousse or Perry’s Ice Cream). The Akron House is open Tuesday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Scotch N’ Sirloin, located at 3999 Maple Rd. in Amherst, is offering a multi-course dinner for $21.11. Dinner includes your choice of entrée (8 oz. top sirloin, char-broiled salmon, or Chicken Teriyaki), unlimited salad bar, unlimited coffee or tea, and a sundae for dessert. The Scotch N’ Sirloin is open Monday through Thursday 4:30 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 4:30 to 10:30 p.m., and Sunday 4 to 9 p.m.
Nektar Martini Bar and Restaurant, at 451 Elmwood Ave. in Buffalo, is offering a multi-course dinner for $21.11, including the soup of the day, a choice of entrée (ocean perch, 6 oz. fillet of sirloin, soy-honey chicken, or roasted veggie pasta), and warm bread pudding for dessert. Nektar is open Monday through Thursday 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 4:30 p.m. to midnight.
The Frog Hair Grille and Golf, at 7800 Transit Rd. in Williamsville, is offering a multi-course lunch or dinner for $21.11. It includes your choice of soda, coffee, draft beer or house wine; a choice of house soup, chef salad, or Caesar salad; a choice of entrée (12 oz. NY strip steak, Chicken Parmesan, pork tenderloin, or Scallops Tortellacci); and chef’s choice dessert. The Frog Hair is open Monday through Thursday 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11:30 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
