My first occasion using my digital camera for a different use than it was intended for was one day returning from shopping. As I was coming to a stop sign and slowing to a stop I notice a small sign on the side of the road which had been held by a stick a few inches above the ground. The sign itself looked to be about 12″ x 16″. The message seemed at first to be directions to a yard sale to the right showing a clear red arrow. The words were just a little too small to be clear enough to read. I quickly turned on my camera which I carry with me in my coat pocket wherever I go, quickly pressed the zoom button and snapped a few photos to make sure I would get the whole sign in view. The traffic light quickly turned green and I proceeded to execute a left turn. I came to a stop at the next red light and was able to view the photos I just snapped. I pressed the zoom button to enlarge the photos. Though I had previously been unable to read the message with my own vision it was now perfectly clear in the camera view display and looked only a couple of feet away. It turned out to be directions to a nearby yard sale. Simply, I would have not known of the sign’s message without using my camera’s “second pair of eyes”.
One Other Incident Where My Digital Camera Came In Handy
One afternoon while working at the computer something small fell from my glasses onto the computer table. I noticed it was real small so I quickly wrapped it in a tissue not to lose it. I took my camera and quickly turned it on in macro[closeup mode] and took a look at it using the zoom and snapped a couple of photos. It turned out to be a small screw that had fallen from my glasses only I didn’t know from where. The photos quickly showed that one of the nose guides had lost the screw holding it in place. Unfortunately, I was not able to find the nose guide itself. Such is life.
Other Areas To Use Your New Tool
I now use my camera for almost everything that I am unable to read clearly and unable to move closer to in order to do so. It might be a small sign across the river or on the other side of a six lane highway that is too busy with traffic and not easily crossed. Most of the time my camera’s regular features are just used to snap a photo of a bird at the top of a very tall tree. I have used my camera to photograph the fine print on the back of our multivitamin bottle and load it into my computer to read all the ingredients greatly magnified in different views at my leisure. There are so many possibilities that is only limited by your imagination and you can just erase and start over anytime you want. You could never do this with roll film.
