A little bit of herbs and spices added to a meal can make the difference between bland and tasty food. Two Sisters Gourmet sells a number of food and food-related products directly to consumers. Although I enjoy cooking with fresh ingredients, sometimes it’s easier to use a seasoning mix.
Description
The spice blend comes in a clear plastic bottle with a label wrapped around the midsection. The contents are easily visible. The label is made up of blues and light green coloring with white lettering. A pair of snap-top openings on the lid allow you to pour the desired amount through several small or three larger holes.
Size and Cost
I purchased a 4 ounce (113 gram) bottle. I paid $7.95 at the time. As the blend was purchased in 2010, this price may no longer be accurate.
Serving Size
A serving of the Outrageously Garlic blend is 1/4 of a teaspoon (0.6 grams). There are an estimated 188 servings in each bottle. I tend to use more than a 1/4 teaspoon once or twice a week, particularly for meat and potato or pasta meals. Some people may enjoy mixing some of the blend with olive oil and making it into a dipping oil for bread.

Ingredients
The ingredients list includes: Dehydrated Garlic, Dehydrated Onion, Spices, Paprika. There is no further breakdown of the “spices” ingredient on the label.

There is no allergy warning on the label, but I would assume that the Outrageously Garlic blend has been prepared in a facility with other spices.

Opinion
Using primarily dehydrated ingredients, Two Sisters Gourmet’s Outrageously Garlic seasoning mix can vary in intensity. Some pieces make me think that I just drank a glass of crushed garlic. Other bites are much more subtle. Generally it is flavorful, but it can lose some of its effect if it is used during cooking. I do enjoy the blend’s convenience compared to using and cleaning a garlic press.
I tend to prefer strong seasonings for my food and typically use a vigorous dusting of the blend. Other people may find that they’re able to use less of the blend on their meals or that it’s more powerful than described.
I believe that my current bottle was purchased in the middle of or late 2010. The label does not have a recommended use-by date. It has remained flavorful for at least the 3 to 6 months since I’ve purchased it, but I’m not sure how long it stays fresh.
If you love garlic, Two Sisters Gourmet’s Outrageously Garlic Blend of seasonings and spices can be a helpful addition to meals. I wouldn’t suggest cooking with it directly, as it loses some of its potency. Add it just before serving the food for maximum effect.
