Here are some of the highlights of what is to come this Spring 2011 in women’s nightclub clothing– the top three trending fashions, to be precise. You’ll find where to draw attention and where not, inspired by Dior. You’ll learn what else to leave off of your body in the club to make a hot statement, thanks to ELLE and Altuzarra. Finally, you’ll discover that one trend isn’t dead yet, but it’s getting there. You can try these looks this Spring at the nightclub separately, or combine them into one master fashion ensemble.
1. Switching the Focus
While bling might have been the thing in the nightclub, now it takes a back seat. Jewelry will be in more natural (like wood, or blackened metals) and subdued appearances and lesser quantities, notes Style Sight. As pictured on their link here straight from the Dior runway, you’ll see that the accessories to play up this Spring at the club will be your handbags (busy graphics) and your footwear (intricate and eye-catching). Just make sure you keep an eye on your purses before somebody else does…
2. Fashion Deconstruction
ELLE Magazine tells us about the NY Fashion Week styles you’d be most interested in. For the Spring 2011 Nightclub scene, something trending we can expect to find is considered the “deconstructed look”. At first glance some of the hot garments may appear unfinished, but don’t let the style fool you– what is missing was entirely intentional (we think). Those of us who’ve seen any episodes of Project Runway may beg to differ! In this piece seen here by Altuzarra, you’ll note how the skirt is apparently 1/3 missing. Also, take a look at the shoes– different colored, many straps– the theme from #1 carries over into this look.
3. Skinny Jeans
Ugh. The thing that just wouldn’t go away– skinny jeans. Nevermind the fact that most people these days don’t have the skinny to fit into the jeans… but if you do and you want to trend it up at the club this Spring, you could try these– particularly in a ripped form like the kind seen from Couture Candy. Ripped also marries the concept of #2 with skinny jeans, since it has the element of deconstruction. Luckily, the source reporting this info also claims the flowy trouser pant is coming back to dethrone the skinny jean– so those of us with a natural aversion to that fad can breathe a sigh of relief. If jeans are too casual for you at the club (even designer and deconstructed or ripped) you can always opt for tight leggings.
Now that you have inspiration for what to wear at the club, make sure to make it your own and pair it with your own unique, individual style. You can accessorize like Dior, deconstruct your dresses or your jeans like Altuzarra and Couture Candy, or you can get ahead of the trend that wouldn’t die and go flowy. And, of course, you can combine any or all of these nightclub fashions this Spring 2011.
