Residents of Genoa City again experience life’s devastation, just as things appeared to working out for so many of the shows’ characters. We may have expected Victor to mellow in 2011, following his Christmas visits to his children in the spirit of his Scrooge-like tour the preceding day, however mellow does not seem to be in the cards for Victor or his feelings toward several of his family members…
Victoria; at first overwhelmed by the new addition; now summons the family for an introduction to the new baby, named Lucy. Daniel arrives to pick up Abby, unknowingly meeting and holding his own child, spurring memories of Daisy’s delivery, as the show ends. Viewers are forced to wait until Monday for his response. Previews show Victor is not happy with the new baby and warns Victoria it will cause her to be forever tied to Billy.
Victor’s scheme to blame Adam for Skye’s supposed murder upon the collapse of the Newman Fund backfired. Charges are dropped and Adam is released from jail. Nick is adamant that Faith cannot be in Adam’s presence, however, the judge does not agree.
Sharon begs Adam to forget about the past for Faith’s sake, just before the encounter at the club. There Victor warns the pair that their “world will soon come crashing down” just preceding Sharon’s arrest for Skyes’ murder.
Nick and Diane become more than friendly after a chance meeting at the coffee shop. Now that Diane is living at the ranch while she does a remodel job for Victor; numerous opportunities will arise for the pair to tget together.
Daisy’s collateral damage includes Jana, who has reverted and self inflicted a concussion to fake another memory loss, she also fakes forgetting her split from Kevin; dashing Chloe’s plan to move her relationship with Kevin to the next level.
Chance will return to testify in the case against the corrupt former district attorney. Heather realizes that Chance is still alive and Chris is forced to fire Ronan for his part in sharing the knowledge and for hiding his illness. Chris later calls Chance to see if he will be tested as a possible donor for Ronan, as Nina is not a match…but
Ronan is already gone, but discovered at the bus station by Nina, Paul and Heather. Nina convinces him to stay for the upcoming operation for a liver transplant to save his life.
