Easter baskets are not just for little kids. In fact, they are fun at any age. Teenagers will appreciate any of these themed Easter baskets. First fill up baskets or other containers with colored Easter grass. Then, load them up with items that fit your teen’s personality and interests. Here are several ideas for an Easter basket for a teen.
Movie Basket
Instead of an Easter basket, you might consider filling up a big plastic popcorn tub with a movie theater gift card, favorite movie or even a month long subscription to Netflix. Make sure to check the terms of service before purchasing this gift. Then put in various classic movie candy items like Red Vines, Milk Duds or Hot Tamales. Microwave popcorn or a bag of popcorn kernels are other good choices. A small blanket is another nice item to include.
Spa Basket
Bath gels and lotions are a great addition to any spa themed Easter basket. Consider getting the small trial sized versions so there is a lot of variety in the basket. Bath and Body Works is a good store to consider. They have a True Blue Spa selection with shea butter lotion along with delicious smelling scrubs. Nail polish, a nail file and pumice stone are also good spa treats. Moisturizing socks are an excellent choice too. Find some inexpensive moisturizing socks from Aquabella at amazon.com for less than $5.00. If your budget allows, include a gift certificate to a local nail salon for a manicure.
Sports Basket
Fill up a plain white basket with deodorant, Gatorade, moisture wicking socks and a t-shirt. Depending on the sport, one can add golf balls, tennis balls, or other appropriate sports gear. For the teen who likes to surf, get him or her surf wax or a beach towel. A gift certificate to a local sporting goods store is another nice touch. Rather than an Easter basket, one could put all of these items into a small duffle bag.
Devotional
Make your teen a devotional basket. Include a devotional book like Grace for the Moment by Max Lucado. A nice fabric journal and several quality pens are other good choices for this basket. The Dollar Store is a great place to get pens and journals for a reasonable price. Other options include a key chain or bookmark with a favorite Bible verse on it. A favorite worship or popular Christian band CD is another appropriate choice for this Easter Basket.
Happy Easter!
