Adam and Jack plot to refuel the Newman Fund with an influx of cash that Adam discovered in an offshore account that Sky had opened. Adam knew that Sky was a creature of habit and he was able to access Sky’s password and the money that Victor paid her to disappear. Adam wired the funds to an untraceable account in his name. He and Jack plan to make the Newman Fund successful again.
Ashley went to see Sharon and let her know that she thought she was insane for letting Adam live in the same house with the baby girl he kidnapped and gave to her as her own. She reminded Sharon as does everyone else of the pain that Adam caused her and Faith. Sharon blinded by the peroxide in her hair and the love she has for Adam defended Adam and told Ashley to butt out. Sharon’s attorney tells her that the distribution of the video of her on the internet was detrimental to her case and that she is likely to face trial for killing Sky.
Phyllis is served with a Cease and Assist order from Sharon’s attorney about the video Restless Style has posted of Sharon and Sky arguing at the volcano. After consulting with Reif, who is the legal counsel for Restless Style Phyllis tells her staff to remove the video. The video has gone viral and Sharon’s attorney is attempting to stop other sites from using it as well.
Phyllis confesses to Jack to her surprise she regrets posting the video and that she does not believe that Sharon killed Sky. She surprises Jack by asking him to help her prove that Sharon is innocent. Surprised Jack and Sharon scurry off to Sharon’s to offer their assistance. Sharon and Adam are surprised to see Jack and Phyllis and obviously suspect about Phyllis’s motives and change of heart. They will sort through all of Phyllis’s files together to brainstorm and find something that might help Sharon.
Tucker has fired Sophia and he demands that she turn in all of her McCall identification and credit cards. Sophia tries to explain her actions but Tucker refuses to listen because he feels that Sophia betrayed his trust and he does not trust easily. When telling Ashley of Sophia’s betrayal he said that before her Sophia the only person that he allowed to get close to him.
Tucker tells Neil that he has fired both Cain and Sophia and he momentarily has questioned Neil to make sure he too was not in on the plan. Neil assured him that he had no knowledge of either Cain’s or Sophia’s deceit.
Cain confesses to Lilly that he has lied about his past to her. Surprised and hurt Lilly has a difficult time believing all that Cain tells her about his past, his connection to organized crime and that he never knew Collier. As Cain is begging Lilly for another chance Sophia confesses to Malcolm that she was fired because she helped Cain deceive Tucker and Lilly. Malcolm who had just asked his brother Neil to be his best man is hurt to learn that Sophia did not confide in him about Cain. He asks her what kind of relationship they really have if she could not trust him enough to let him help her.
Sophia goes to see Neil at his apartment and he questions her ask her how she could risk her career to help Cain deceive Tucker. Sophia explains to Neil that she was only trying to help Cain. She said that earlier in her life she was in a bad spot and that someone came to her rescue; she was merely trying to pay it forward by helping someone else. Sophia cared for Cain and his family and Cain took advantage of that.
Malcolm interrupts Cain’s confession to Lilly and is just about to knock the living you know what out of Cain when the twins awaken and Lilly asks him to check on them. Cain tells Lilly that he did what he did to protect her and the twins and he knows that their love is strong enough to overcome this crisis. Cain has told Lilly that he would do anything to make it right. Lilly tells him if you really mean that, you will just leave. She wanted him to leave the house and he did so. As she walked through the door he looked like a sick little puppy dog.
