With Christmas coming up, and soon after that New Year’s, we might be reflecting back on what our resolutions were for the year before. Many of us decided on an American favorite, eating healthier, and losing any extra weight we may have picked up in the Winter. Some of us achieved this goal, some of us barely live through it, and still others may not have have reached this goal. But before the next New Year’s comes I would like to share a few tips on what worked to help keep the goal, and what didn’t.
Eating Healthy is one of the big ones. How can you expect to lose weight if you are consistently eating junk food and soda? If you ask anyone who did manage to lose some weight (and keep if off!) I promise you, they would say it’s all about what you eat. I mean, if you are what you eat, then I would expect you would want to be eating the good stuff.
Exercising Daily is right up there with eating healthy. In fact, I believe they walk hand in hand. Think about it, if you are eating healthy and exercising daily (at least a half hour worth of exercising daily is recommended) then there is no reason that you should be even slightly overweight.
Here is one that you probably shouldn’t go with – Heavy Dieting….. WHY? Because if your starving yourself then you will either just get sick, or end up going overboard after not eating properly after a few days. If you need to go on a diet then make sure you are eating 2000 calories a day, more or less, depending on your overall age, size, health, and the amount of physical activity you do during the day. Another thing to avoid is skipping Breakfast, as it is the most important meal of the day for a reason. If you skip breakfast not only will you be dragging your tired body around all day because of lack of nutrients, you will also end up being so hungry that not only will you eat too much for Lunch, but you will probably eat so much that you will not be hungry for Dinner, which means a very unbalanced diet for you. Of course you shouldn’t skip any meal, but Breakfast is the most commonly skipped.
I would like to mention a company named Shaklee. They sell all sorts of products to keep you healthy including Cinch, which helps you to lose weight. It does this by serving as a kind of replacement for food. Once you start using Cinch you will actually stop craving things that you usually do. Of course it does this while keeping you healthy, because unlike other dietary products, Shaklee’s Cinch provides you with all the nutrients you need to skip a meal, so you technically not even skipping any meals! You can buy this product at michellejazayeri.myshaklee.com
These are just a few of the things you need to consider when trying to lose weight and live healthy. Good luck to you, and hope that losing weight will work out for you as well as it did for me!
