A game that I have recently enjoyed playing is the Sims 3 Night Life expansion. In Sims 3 Night Life, you can choose the way your SIM lives whether it is the crazy life of a party animal rock star, or the quiet life of an artist. There are many different career options, opportunities, relationships, home decor, and much more.
The first thing you do when playing The Sims 3 Night Life is create your SIM. I find the SIMS in this game quite realistic and similar to actual humans. The first options are to choose your SIMS’ name, gender skin tone, weight, muscle size and tone, and breast size (If you are making a female). Next you choose your SIMS hairstyles, eyebrows, and additional facial details. The amount of hairstyles is slightly limited, but there are a lot more hairstyles that include accessories. When choosing the hair color of your SIM, there are a few options below the hairstyles. Not the right hair color there? That’s totally fine because there is a template of different colors, and a color wheel. When coloring the hair, you can choose the root color, base, highlights, and tips. After finishing with your SIMS hair, you can choose from a list of eyebrows. You can match the eyebrows to your root color, or choose from another spectrum of colors. You can then choose if you want you SIM to have freckles or beauty marks. After this step, you can move onto facial details such as eyes, mouth, nose, ears, facial shape, and make-up. For all of these options apart from makeup, you can alter specific parts of the features. Next you move onto changing your SIMS outfit. You choose your SIMS’ everyday outfit, formal wear, pajamas, swim wear, and athletic wear. There are five options for each specific type of outfit, including shirt, pants, full outfit, shoes, and accessories. You can modify the pattern and color for any of these options. The last step of this process is choosing your SIMS’ traits, lifetime wish, favorite foods, music and color, and horoscope sign. I really enjoy this step because it gives your SIM personality.
After creating your SIM you move them into a house, apartment, or a penthouse apartment. You can decorate the SIM’S house however you life. When in buy mode, the items are organized by room such as bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom ECT. You can change the patterns and colors in advanced mode, which is a small paint brush and color pallet. If you live in a house, you can modify the outdoors with flowers, trees, bushes, terrain, and more.
After your house is to your liking, you can live your life! There are celebrities constantly roaming the town, so you need to impress them before you can befriend them. Depending on how many celebrities you know, you will get a star ranking from 1-5. Based on your ranking, people will ask for autograph and want to take pictures with you, and you will be able to get free stuff or things at a discount. . You will also not need to impress celebrities anymore. Although being a celebrity is great, you can get rumors started about you, and become publically disgraced.
After befriending the celebrities, you can get closer to a different kind of SIM. A vampire. After getting close with a vampire you can ask to be turned. After being turned into a vampire, you will not be hungry anymore, but thirsty. You will need to eat plasma fruit, drink plasma juice, or drink another SIMS’ plasma. At night your SIM gains special powers including the power to read other SIMS’ minds and the ability to make them think about you. Being out in the sun for too long will burn your SIM, and prolonged exposure will result in the loss of your SIMS vampiric powers.
My overall experience with this game was great delight. Although I would change some things, the overall game is a blast! I would recommend it to anyone I meet.
