The Biggest Loser winner 2010 was finally determined last night. Still, The Biggest Loser winner 2010 selection wasn’t as big as the news beforehand. The show’s lead trainer and largest star, Jillian Michaels, will be leaving after Season 11 in the spring. However, Michaels still had a finale and one more season to get through before she left. Therefore, she helped crown the 2010 Biggest Loser winner, who is no longer as big as a house.
Warning: Spoilers follow
Patrick House, Alfrado Dinten, Ada Wong and Elizabeth Ruiz came into the last episode as the finalists. They had already slimed down to dramatic effect, if nothing else, but the show still had to judge if they did it extensively enough.
Determining The Biggest Loser winner 2010 turned out to be easy, as Patrick House was revealed to have dropped 181 pounds. This put him a full 19 pounds ahead of Dinten, who merely lost 162, while Wong was a distant third with 99. Ruiz was the first to be eliminated, having just lost 77 pounds.
House came into the show having weighed an even 400 pounds. Yet he wound up shedding 45.25 percent of his body weight in just six months, which is still par for the course in the show. Nevertheless, it was more than enough in Season 10, as he took home a new figure and $250,000.
House became The Biggest Loser winner 2010 just in time for his five-year anniversary, which is on December 17. He and his wife, Bradley, will celebrate at the Cayman Islands, before Patrick returns with a new job. The unemployed salesman was offered a job in South Carolina’s Mindstream Academy, which aids overweight teens.
Although House lost the most weight among the finalists, he did not lose the most for the whole season. That honor went to eliminated contestant Mark Pinkhasovich, who lost 213 pounds and easily won the $100,000 “stay-at-home” prize. Yet if he had not been eliminated, he would have easily defeated House in the end.
Still, the two Biggest Loser winners 2010 have a lot to celebrate, with a new look and prize money to go with it. As for the show, it will be on break until early January, when Season 11 starts. It will be their fourth ever “Couples Edition’ season , as 11 duos will compete to get thin.
The next Biggest Loser winner will be the last that Jillian Michaels sees, however, as she is leaving the show after Season 11. But before she goes, she will be helped by two new trainers, when the show returns on January 4, 2011.
