At the begging of every year, people reflect on their previous year and make goals, plans, and changes that they’ll like to carry into the next. Well, gamers are no different and following are the top 5 gaming New Year’s resolutions going into the year 2011.
2010 was a big year in gaming – and by “big”, I mean expensive. 2010 introduced slimmer gaming consoles, new games, more motion gaming peripherals, larger and more advanced televisions and the likes. While visiting gaming blogs and forums that I frequent, I noticed that upgrading gaming gear was one of the biggest gaming resolutions going into 2011 – with most people looking to ditch their old Xbox 360 or PS3 for the slimmer models, trading in that LCD for and LED TV, or looking to improve their gaming room Feng Shui; gamers are looking for major upgrades going into the year 2011.
Die hard video game fans will always have at least one gaming New Year’s resolution every year – and that resolution will be to level up their in-game character or improve some aspect of their current favorite games. Regardless of if they’re leveling up an MMORPG character, looking to buy some kickass Halo: Reach armor, or trying to Prestige in COD: Black Ops, gamers are looking to become bigger and badder in-game in 2011.
As gamers reflect on the previous year’s gaming, they usually end up remembering all the cool games they’ve played and end up realizing how many awesome games they’ve left unfinished. With so many major gaming releases per year, beating each one is a bit of a big task to take on, but gamers are definitely looking to take on “flipping” those cool, but forgotten, 2010 games in this New Year.
It’s one thing to level up your in-game character, upgrade your gaming gear, or finally end the chapter of a cool game, but any gamer that’s hell-bent on gaming is looking to get better at playing games going into the year 2011. No matter how much you’ve played a game, there always seems to be some sort of room for improvement, and if you’re a hardcore gamer you’ll want to get as close to perfection as possible. 2011 will be the year that you set aims on beating your top scores, getting better at first-person shooters, becoming an online gaming sensation, or getting the proper skills to compile and awesome montage.
