Fans of the Survivor franchise are buzzing with excitement and gossip over the premiere of Survivor: Redemption Island. The show is adding plenty of new twists and turns that will give dedicated viewers a refreshed love for the series. Though the show first aired nearly eleven years ago, fans still embrace the mantra of Outwit, Outlast, Outplay. The 22nd season should give viewers plenty of excitement that has been worth the wait.
For the first time, the game will incorporate Redemption Island where the outcasts go once they are voted off their tribe. During the third episode, viewers will see a duel between the first and second outcasts, and the winner is said to receive an opportunity to continue playing the game. This twist will continue throughout the season and is sure to send players scrambling to revise plans and re-strategize.
A huge treat for long-time fans is that both “Boston” Rob Mariano and Russell Hantz are returning to this season of Survivor: Redemption Island. Both players have been tagged as villains in previous Survivor seasons, and their one-on-one rivalry developed during the last All-Stars edition. Spoilers whisper that Rob and Russell will each lead a tribe and may be given immunity until the merge. It will be interesting to see if tribe mates decide to keep Rob or Russell around for long. Will they seem to be a slam dunk to win against, with their previous chances and caustic history? Or will players feel threatened by the experience and strategic cunning and vote them out early?
Viewers are excited to have the opportunity to see this season plays out. Survivor: Redemption Island airs on CBS Wednesday nights.
