Having personally used this running trail frequently I haven’t found anything I don’t like about it. It has never been too busy where the trail felt like it was crowded, but at the same time just enough friendly people to say hello to. Silver Creek Community Park is wonderful to take the whole family to even for a walk around the trail if there are younger children involved.
The trail follows the edge of Silver Creek Community Park, so people can see a variety of activities during the day, especially weekends. There are baseball diamonds, a football field, basketball courts, playgrounds, picnic areas, and it passes by the restrooms. The trail also travels out to a quieter section where people can catch scenic views of an old farm, mature trees, an old red school house from long ago, and a new primary school off in the distance.
Besides being close to other activities and having enjoyable scenery, the running/walking trail begins and ends at two parking lots. There is no walking too far to the trail, and if an extra layer needs to be discarded at a car it can be easily accessed. At the end of a run or walk, vehicles are close by to stretch and/or get water.
