Seneca Sweet Potato Chips are a tasty and healthy alternative to potato chips. I tried the cinnamon flavor sweet potato chips for my review.
I purchased the Seneca Sweet Potato chips from Sweetbay Grocery Store in Florida. I found them in the baking section next to the chocolate chips and packages of nuts.
I have to say the Seneca sweet potato chips remind me a lot of the Terra exotic vegetable chips if you ate only the orange sweet potato chips and skipped the white, purple and red chips.
Although the package with purple edging and a burlap bag illustration calls them “crispy,” not all of the sweet potato chips are crispy. Some are soft, others are crispy, which I loved. The cinnamon flavor ones taste great. There is the right amount of cinnamon and sugar.
Cinnamon is great for weight loss because it stabilizes blood sugar. With these chips you get the health benefits of cinnamon and the health benefits of beta-carotene, which reduces cancer.
Be warned about these chips. Note the portion size. It’s 2 1/2 servings for the 2.5 ounce package. So 14 chips is one portion.
Don’t eat the entire bag unless you want to have 24 grams of sugar and 450 calories in one sitting.
