After the Senate defeated a bill that would extend a middle class tax cut and jobless benefits, Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) told the Huffington Post, “In economic times like these, 9.8 percent unemployment, you should not raise taxes on anyone” (read Senate Republicans Defeat Reauthorization Of Jobless Aid, Tax Cuts).
Barrasso is, of course, referring to the expiring Bush tax cuts (which officially expire Dec. 31st). The extension of the Bush tax cuts was not in the bill to extend jobless benefits for the struggling millions of Americans without jobs. The line of thinking coming out of the Senate is, If you’re not going to help fund a wealthy American’s purchase a new BMW, we’re not going to help the unemployed middle class buy food for their family.
Barrasso is a Buffoon. Worse yet, he is swine. Along with John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and the other wealth-worshipping hogs in the Republican-Democrat wealth-orgy Americans call the Senate.
If the Bush tax cuts are extended, the budget will lose out on $700 billion over the next ten years. And that $700 billion will be going to those who don’t need it, and won’t spend it because the recipients of all that cash are already rich.
Barrasso says it’s wrong to raise taxes on anyone when the economy is so poor. Does he not get it, or is he playing into the stupidity of American citizens? When a country’s economy is in the gutter-or lying flat on its back as Alan Grayson said-you must tax the rich. The government needs to tax its wealthiest citizens to gain the much-needed revenue to ‘get back on track’.
The millionaires need to give up an extra 3 percent in taxes when the American middle class has become the impoverished class. The wealthiest Americans need to be taxed because they are doing exceedingly well in these poor economic times. Wall Street isn’t hurting anymore. It’s gaining record profit. But most Americans are hurting, and many are not able to make any profit.
Buffoonery and Barrasso need to have their mouths taped shut and their votes rescinded. These Republicans, along with a handful of Democrats, are strangling the middle class. They are holding you hostage, and holding your well-being over the edge of a financial cliff, in order to serve themselves and their wealthy clientele.
Who are you working for, Barrasso, if not the majority of struggling American people? What about you, Boehner? And McConnell?
Reiteration: The American government badly needs the slight tax increase on America’s wealthiest citizens. The American government needs that extra money to help create jobs for the far larger and impoverished middle class. If you vote against the majority of American people, we know who you stand for. Barrasso & Co. are the enemy.
These swine are not in office for you, America, they are the elected swine serving the higher powers of Wall Street and America’s wealthiest families who muddled and destroyed the American economy in the first place.
