Valentine’s Day is a time to share memories and special moments with your family, friends, or sweetheart. This Valentine’s Day relax and enjoy a romantic comedy.
Runaway Bride. Richard Gere and Julia Roberts reunite in this romantic comedy. Gere is a big city reporter who goes to a small town following a story lead about a woman (Roberts) who has repeatedly bolted from the alter in premarital panic. This is a clean, family friendly, romantic comedy. There are no sex scenes, just great leading characters and solid entertainment. “Runaway Bride“ is definitely a smashing hit, and the perfect Valentine’s Day romance to watch.
Something’s Gotta Give. In this romantic comedy, self-absorbed Jack Nicholson only dates women under 30. That is until he meets middle-aged sweetheart ( Diane Keaton) who knocks him off his feet. There is never a dull moment; one laugh after another. The on-screen chemistry between Nicholson and Keaton was amazing. This is the movie to watch on Valentine’s Day.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding. At age 30 a Greek-American girl is considered a failure by her family because she’s still single. She ends up falling for an average white guy, and her traditional greek family is disappointed to say the least. But of course, true love finds a way to conquer the cultural clashes. “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” is a realistic movie. It is refreshing to see a leading lady that looks live a real woman instead of a stereotypical Hollywood stick figure. Rent the DVD on Valentine’s Day.
Knocked Up. A 20-something entertainment journalist’s (Katherine Heigl) life is derailed when she ends up pregnant as the result of a drunken, one-night stand with a man whom she has nothing in common. Eventually, they reunite for support and the fun-filled comedy begins as they turn a bad situation into something good. Valentine’s Day is a great time for happy endings.
Sleepless in Seattle. “Sleepless in Seattle” is the Mercedes of Romantic Comedies. It is one of those movies that you enjoy watching repeatedly. A woman hears a story on the radio about a grieving widower. She can’t get the story out of her mind, and comes to believe that they are destined for one another. Heartwarming and funny, Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks light up the screen. Talk about a great movie to watch on Valentine’s Day.
This valentine’s Day enjoy the simple pleasure of a quiet evening at home watching a romantic comedy with the people you love.
