I watched a movie last night the title of the movie was Stuck. What I found interesting about the movie was, well first let me tell you a little about the movie. It was about a woman who was a CNA working in a retirement home and her supervisor advised her she was one of a few people that was being considered for a promotion. The woman was elated to hear that and went out later that night to meet her boyfriend who gave here some drugs and they were to meet later at her house. On the way to her home intoxicated she got on her cell phone to ask her boyfriend if he needed anything, now remember she was intoxicated and on her cell phone she was distracted, add to this she looked down for a moment and at this time she hit a homeless man and he went right thru her windshield.
Terrified she kept driving home with the man bloodied on her windshield, another homeless person saw this and tried to tell the policeman that was standing next to him, but the policeman did not even look and just told the man to go on. Well the young lady finally got home with the man bloodied and still in her windshield but did not try to get him out, but told him she would get help, but she did not she was worried that if any of the information got out it would jeopardize her promotion. So she went back into her garage and saw the man struggling to break free and she said why are you doing this to me? It was your fault that I hit you, you should have been looking where you were going.
Now I won’t tell you the rest of the movie except for one thing she never went to get help for the man and left him embedded in her windshield. The point I am try ing to make is that we as people very few of us want to take responsibility for our actions, we always want to pass the buck. The woman in the movie hit the man while intoxicated on drugs, while talking to her boyfriend on her cell phone and further more looked down for a moment when she hit him, it was her fault, but yet she blamed him. But if you look at the history of man we did this from day one. (Genesis) Chapter 3 para 12-13 When God asked Adam why did he eat from the tree of knowledge Adam said the woman you gave me, gave me of the tree, and when God asked Eve she said the serpent beguiled me so I did eat. Both of them blamed something else for their doing wrong. So it might seem it might be in our nature to pass the buck.
But we have our free will, we are often tempted but we can decide for ourselves what we should do. The Son of Sam killer said he heard voices in his head which he said was the devil and said the devil made him do it. The devil can only tempt us he does not make us do anything we make the decision to do wrong.
People say if God is so loving why would he send someone to hell for all eternity to burn? People don’t pass the buck to God. Sometime in your life you were probably approached by someone who advised you to accept Jesus as your savior and you turned them down thinking they were crazy or that you had time to make a decision, it was your choice to accept or refuse. When you made the decision to refuse, you made the decision to go to hell, it was your fault. Sometimes you cannot pass the buck, sometimes responsibility finds you and you cannot get away. Accept Jesus as your Savior now not later admit that he died on the cross for you and that he was resurrected and give your life to him and ask forgiveness for your sins, if you don’t and you die you will go to hell. You can pass the buck and blame someone else, but in your heart you will know it was your fault and after all you’ll have all of eternity burning to think about it.
