Thursday night’s finale of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ answered a lot of questions- and kept us dangling in suspense until next week’s reunion show.
Indeed, Thursday’s “RHOBH” finale was the most explosive episode ever. And although the drama centered around the girls’ infamous trip to New York and the she said/she said about Camille Grammer, Grammer herself- in the throes of her split from Kelsey- was actually featured very little on the show.
Instead we see Kyle Richards going to her psychic, with her mom’s ashes in tow. Taylor dishes that hubby Russell is throwing a birthday party for her, or actually his assistants are probably doing most of the work, but still. And Lisa lunches with her “best friend’s new best friend,” Taylor, who reveals that it was Kim who instigated the drama about Camille’s “insecurities” while they were in New York.
Meanwhile, Kim goes to make-up artist Thierry for a makeover, while whining that she never had girlfriends to teach her how to do her own makeup because she worked every day of her life as a child.
And Taylor has closure with Snowball, the cute puppy that Russell gave their daughter Kennedy for her birthday even though she’s severely allergic. Taylor’s pal is taking Snowy off the family’s hands.
Lisa and Ken have a poolside chat with permanent houseguest, Cedric. Even Lisa agrees it’s time that the 37-year old Cedric moves out, but he pulls the ol’ out of sight out of mind card and says every time he gets close to someone “they leave.”
Cut to Kyle, who is looking a bit like Snooki as she gets ready for Taylor’s bash. But Mauricio likey.
There is a touching Camille scene, as she opens up to BFF D.D. about Kelsey’s betrayal. She says when she went to their New York apartment, the doorman made her show her ID because he didn’t believe she was Mrs. Grammer. Apparently someone else had been playing the part of Mrs. G. in her absence.
Net up, it’s the big event. Russell gives the lamest birthday toast ever while Kyle laments that her sister Kim is late “as usual.”
When Kim does show up she’s all glammed up (thanks, Thierry!) and acting rather odd. Kyle whispers that Kim is acting drunk.
Don don don don….
Taylor confronts Kim about the NYC catfight Kim and all hell breaks loose. It ends up with all of the ladies getting in to it, with Kim eventually disappearing.
We find one-time date Martin trying to console her in the limo, but later Adrienne and Kyle join in. After a huge onslaught of back and forth accusations and insults, Kim screams at Kyle, “You stole my house!”
Have no idea what that means, but Kyle scoffs, saying that her husband Mauricio helps Kim every month like she’s his second wife. Then Kyle blurts out the words that she can’t take back, screaming that Kim is an alcoholic. “There! Now everybody knows!” Kyle screams.
And then the light bulb flips on.
Suddenly the while season makes a lot more sense. Kyle’s season-long insistence that she promised her mom she’d keep an eye on Kim. Kim’s distance from the other ladies and her M.I.A. status from most of the girls’ social events.
The wrap-up of the show states that Kim and Kyle Richards didn’t speak for a long time after the limo incident and are still working on mending their relationship. It also said that Kim’s family checked herself into rehab- and she checked herself out a week later.
Cedric eventually moved out and he and Lisa had a huge fight.
Based on the emotional trailer for next week’s 2-part reunion show, looks like we’ll hear the real truth about Kim’s problems, Camille’s feelings on how she was portrayed on the show, and the story behind Lisa and Cedric’s big fight.
So many questions, so much time ’til next week!
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion Show” will air on January 27th at 9:00 p.m. ET on Bravo.
