Are you ready for some Bowl game action on Sunday, Feb.6,2011? There is sure to be plenty of it. Super Bowl XLV will be played in the new Dallas Cowboy stadium, and Puppy Bowl VII will have its all-star action at the Grand Gridiron Animal Planet Stadium. The starting lineups will not only include Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers and Ben Roethlisberger from the Pittsburgh Steelers. It will also include Big Red, a 13 week old Shepherd mix and Booda, a 15 week old pug mix, just 2 of the puppies who range in age from 9 to 18 weeks from Animal Planet who will be participating.
There promises to be plenty of action in both of these bowl games. The Packers and Steelers are looking to score lots of touchdowns, field goals etc. during Super Bowl XLV while vying for that coveted one and only Super Bowl Trophy. Not to be outdone, Puppy Bowl VII has their crew of furry friends that will be released to romp and play with various toys on a scaled-down football field.They’re calls of touchdowns and scoring as well as personal fouls, which are reserved for bathroom accidents while on the field.
The Black Eyed Peas will be performing during halftime at Super Bowl XLV in Dallas. The one and only Bissell Kitty Half Time Show with a kitty inspired acoustic solo performance that promises to dazzle canine and feline friends alike will be the entertainment for Puppy Bowl VII. In addition to that the chicken cheerleaders will be on the sidelines to add a little more cuteness to the Puppy Bowl.
The football-with-puppies game has aired the same day as its fellow venerated American Tradition, the Super Bowl for the past 7 years. It’s 21 pup starting lineup was assembled from shelters and rescues across the country, all of whom vie for the title of MVP or Most Valuable Puppy.
For the first time in Puppy Bowl history, viewers can watch the action from the puppies-point-of-view with the new Puppy Cam. A 3 D Version of the event will premiere on the “3 net” network, the brainchild of Discovery Communications, Sony and IMAX.
From barking beagles to spunky spaniels, hunky linebackers to hot quarterbacks, Puppy Bowl VII and Super Bowl XLV, on Sun. Feb.6, 2011 promise to give viewers across the nation an action packed day of TV viewing.
The Puppy Bowl starts at 3 P.M., more then 3 hrs. before Super Bowl kickoff time so the avid “Bowl Game” watcher should have no problems taking in both of these “Super” events, if they wish.
