I had just ran out of my concealer and was totally bummed because it has honestly been my favorite one to use. However, it was very expensive and I knew I needed to get a more affordable one so I decided to try N.Y.C. Cover Stick in the shade Light. I found it to be slightly to light alone as a concealer, but when I blended it with a dab of my daily foundation makeup it actually matched my skin perfectly and help conceal the areas of skin I needed such as the dark circles under my eyes.
The concealer comes in a lipstick like tube and shape that scrolls up and down. The concealer does glide very nicely onto my skin, but is very hard to blend if the skin is not well moisturized. The concealer is made from natural nourishing vitamins like vitamin E and A. I find these ingredients to be extremely helpful for maintaining my bright healthy glowing skin.
The way I like to apply the concealer to my skin is by rubbing streaks under my eyes, brow area, nose and chin. Then I like to take a dab of my moisturizer and a dab of my foundation and work it into my concealer that is already on my face in an outward motion until it is evenly blended with my skin tone. Sometimes it take a little extra moisturizer and foundation to even out the concealer properly, but if your patient is will work out properly and help brighten up your skin. Once the concealer is evenly distributed I allow it to absorb into my skin for about 5 minutes before applying the rest of my makeup. After my skin looks bright and flawless without feeling greasy, oily or heavy.
I do find the N.Y.C. Cover Stick in the shade Light to be very affordable and worth using over expensive concealers if used with a moisturizer and foundation. I would only recommend people with fair and light skin tones to use this concealer so it look natural and vibrant. People with tan, beige, olive and dark skin tones should not use this concealer because it will make your skin look caked and fake. People with dark skin tones should stick to dark concealers that are closes to their skin tones so it blends well with your skin and looks flawless. Now with all that being said I do hope those of you who try this concealer like the way it conceals and brightens up your face and skin affordably.
