For the past 5 weeks, my husband Len, and I have suffered with either/and/or coughs, colds, flu, allergies, or a virus, that just won’t go away. One of us gets sick, and then passes it onto the other one, and back and forward it goes.
I have been sneezing, and my nose pouring for the past few days. Blowing my nose, and constant running, has caused my lips to really dry out. I have been using regular lip balms, but needed something more.
I went into Walgreens drugstore and picked up a tube of Eucerin Aquaphor Lip Repair. It states on the packaging that it gives ‘immediate relief’. The cost of it was $4.99, but I did have a coupon to bring it down to $2, which is still a good price.
The tube is white, with a navy blue screw cap. It has a net weight of .35 fluid ounce (10 ml). Before using it, I gave my nose a really good blow, so that I wouldn’t wipe the lip repair gel off immediately.
The tube has an angled tip, with a small hole in it, for the gel to come out. I put it up to my lips, and gently squeezed the tube. I allowed a small amount to come through, and spread it across both my top, and bottom lips. I then pursed them together, and it felt as if I had petroleum jelly on them.
It was different to a lip balm, because my lips felt as if they had moisture in them, as well as on the outside of them. This stayed right up until I drank some water, and a little came off. The rest of the outside moisture went, when I ate.
I have applied it 4 or 5 times a day, and my lips feel great. Just wondering whether I should put it on my painful nose now.
What I like about Eucerin Aquaphor Lip Repair:
It is fragrance free, so it doesn’t start my sneezing off.
It is dermatologist recommended and is the number 1 lip brand.
It contains Shea butter and vitamins, which are good for my lips.
Aquaphor is more expensive than purchasing a lip balm, and I do love my lip balms. However, when my lips have a major problem, such as this cold, or whatever it is, I will keep a tube of Eucerin Aquaphor Lip Repair on hand.
