The new zodiac signs 2011 aren’t entirely new. Although the new zodiac signs 2011 have been altered by Ophiuchus, the rest of the symbols are still the same. They may not fall on the same date anymore, but they still carry the same meaning and messages as always. Even Ophiuchus isn’t coming out of nowhere, as it has been around forever, but wasn’t well known until last week. Therefore, for those who take the new zodiac signs seriously, they were scrambling to find out what Ophiuchus said about them.
This symbol has been recognized by astronomers for thousands of years, yet has been largely ignored. But thanks to last week’s proclamation by Panake Kunkle, the secret was exposed to the Internet. Believers either roundly rejected the revised system or tried to discover what the 13th sign really meant.
Under the new zodiac, Ophiuchus falls between Nov. 30 and Dec. 17. According to World News Insight, those who have birthdays between these dates are now “an interpreter of dreams,” will attract “good luck and fruitful blessings” and are “a seeker of peace and harmony.”
None of that sounds too bad on the surface. Those who can now interpret dreams may have an easy time figuring out Inception, and everyone wants good luck and harmony. But for all the blessings that Ophiuchus promises, those who used to be a Sagittarius might not feel harmonious over the change.
Under the new zodiac signs, Sagittarius has been moved back to between Dec. 17 and Jan. 20. It used to be between Nov. 22 and Dec. 21, and now only those born between the 17th and 21st are still Sagittarius.
Those who were born between Nov. 22 and Dec. 21 used to want to live the good life and make a difference in the world, according to the Universal Psychic Guild. That might not sound too different from wanting peace and harmony – if one has good luck, one will have a better chance to make a positive difference.
Of course, to believers, the new signs make all the difference in the world. No matter how uplifting Ophiuchus may sound, it isn’t the symbol that they’ve subscribed to for years. What’s more, thanks to the system, nearly everyone else’s stars have been altered as well, which has formed a lot of backlash.
Yet since astrologers have known about Ophiuchus for thousands of years and ignored it, they will go back to ignoring it again. Because it is now exposed to social media, that will be harder to do, however.
But because horoscope readers have roundly rejected the system, it doesn’t matter to them that Ophiuchus exists, or that it brings good luck. Besides, the new zodiac signs have brought Ophiuchus even worse luck, as being exposed has gone worse than being ignored.
