Million Dollar Elm Casino Tulsa, Oklahoma Review

by tree pony

The Million Dollar Elm Casino is located at 951 West 36th Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They also have casinos in Sand Springs, Bartlesville, Skiatook, Ponca City, Hominy, and Pawhuska. This casino was easy to find. It was very well lit outside in the parking lot. We did have to park far away, but it was very crowded due to the concert we were attending.

The first thing we did when we went into the casino was signed up our player’s cards. We had preordered the concert tickets to see Shinedown and had a family member pick them up for us in advance. We paid $35 per ticket for the concert. Signing up for a player’s card was very simple. They needed your photo ID. We received $5 match play for the new account. We also got $5 match play for showing them our concert ticket. We were told that $10 more match play would come in the mail soon. We have not received it yet, but it has only been one week.

The line to get into the concert was really long so we decided to eat and enjoy the casino a bit. My husband tried out the table games. He played Blackjack and said it seemed fair, but he just did not have a lot of luck with it. We played some of the slot machines. We would both win a little and lose a little, but my husband actually ended up winning over all for the night. They had a large assortment of machines available.

We went and ate at the Deli. I got a hot turkey and Swiss. It came with chips for free, but you could pay extra for french fries if you wanted this instead. It was only $4.00. It was an amazing sandwich with regular potato chips and a pickle on the plate. I was extremely impressed with the food for the price of it. They also had a small buffet. It was $9.95 per person and did not have a huge selection. I personally would recommend the deli here. These were the only two places offered to eat at the Million Dollar Elm Casino.

They had a small bar inside here too. It had a few slot machines in it and they offered drinks. They had beer, liquor to mix with it, and also a frozen margarita machine. There was a small stage in there where it appears they have live bands, but did not have any playing this night.

When it was time for the concert, we found out that they had two opening bands. They were smaller local bands and so we skipped this part of it. We went in a little late. There was a booth set up in the back with shirts and CDs for sale from each band. They also had two booths set up selling beer and mixed drinks.

We went and stood on the side by the wall. The front area was reserved for VIP and the artists from the opening bands. The rest of the chairs were pretty full and we couldn’t find anywhere to sit at all. We asked a security guard if we couldn’t sit in the VIP section. He said as soon as the show started if the seats were still empty to go ahead. We got great seats and did not have to pay the extra price for them. We were allowed to take pictures of Shinedown while they performed.

This concert said it was an acoustic show. It had a full band so it did not really feel like an acoustic setting. The lead singer did a lot of talking between songs and explaining how they came about and what they mean to him. This part was pretty interesting and different. We stayed for about an hour and half. The concert was still going strong so I am not sure exactly how long it lasted. It was a great time!

The security guards were doing a great job. We saw them take care of a few people who had been drinking a bit too much. They were also watching everything very carefully. You had to exit the concert to use the restroom, but they let you back in with a stamp on your hand and your concert ticket stub. The bathroom was right outside the door.

Overall we had a great time! The concert was amazing and the gambling was fun. We didn’t lose any money, but certainly didn’t get rich. I would recommend going to this casino to anyone. We will go here again if they have a concert we want to attend.
