Lifeway Lowfat Kefir in the Pumpkin Spice flavor is a limited edition perfect for the holiday season with its bright orange color.
What is Kefir? A lot of people don’t realize Kefir is a cousin of yogurt. I found the Lifeway Pumpkin spice limited edition at Whole Foods Market.
Health benefits of Kefir
Kefir’s roots trace back to the Caucasus Mountains between the Black Sea and Caspian Sea where people lived to be more than 100 years old. In addition to possibly helping you live longer, Kefir aids in digestion.
The cultured milk smoothie is 99 percent lactose free. It smells a lot like egg nog, but tastes slightly bitter as Kefir typically does. Kefir, if you have never tried it, is incredibly healthy as a great source of probiotics or healthy bacteria for digestion. Kefir is a Turkish word which means “good feeling.”
The Pumpkin Spice flavor is actually orange which may delight your children or holiday guests.
