Do any of you like a good action movie? Of course you do. But when was the last time you saw the hero walk into a situation and try to brow beat the vilan into submission with sharp words and neverending debate, you havent. The hero walks in and may try to reason with words momentarly but when he understands that action must be taken, then he takes it; that’s what makes him the hero. Why is it that what we watch these movies? Because that is what we desire in life are individuals that will eventually lay down words and pick up action. What am I saying? Its simple, we as Kentuckian, as Americans, and as free men and women have the right to choose how we will live our lives, its rights that our forefathers fought for us to have and our neighbors fight for till this very day.
Im tired of our politicians continously arguing the laws which govern us when we as a free nation have the right and ability to decide for ourselves, put it to a vote. Matters which govern how we live our life such as Gay Marrige, Abortion, Marijuana, and other issues should be put to a vote, let us decide what kind of society we want to live in and then maybe we can respect society a little more. Only close minded politicians who are ignorant about the demographic of his people will try to stand in the way of putting it to a vote.
They will try to convince you to the validity of their argument that some matters are “just to complicated for someone who doesn’t understand politics”, I say that there is no one out there that is unable to understand majority rule. The fact of the matter is if our politicians had a clue we as a community, a state, and a nation would not be in the situation it is now, I don’t have to tell you of the hardships that we have had to face over the past few years. We are going to have to jerk back the reins on our politicians and beging taking back our lives, certain matter should be left up to us as a community to decide, it shouldn’t be an earmark to a bill or a piece of Legislation pushed through quickly just to appease a certain group.
Put it on the ballot, if someone doesn’t want to live in a society that honors gay marriage then let that individual put up a satisfactory argument that will persuade the masses against it, as would be the same with other hot bed issues. Our politicians waste to much time and money playing ping pong with issues that in all reality should not be governed by politics at all, end the ignorance right now and put those issues on he ballot. It is their job to run our government not to run our lives.
Contact your local representative and request that these issues be placed on the ballot. I can go anhead and warne you that most likely your request will be ignored or even laughed at, but don’t be discourage, persistence pays off. Never give up on a worthy cause.
