There are serotonin levels in your brain, and when you eat chocolate it helps those levels to help make you feel happier. So for many women eating chocolate makes them feel happier. Being happy is healthy for your body.
Many women believe that eating chocolate helps them with their PMS moods. So at least once a month you will see them reach for a chocolate candy bar. Their body may be craving the sugar and so they reach for a chocolate sugary treat. Many women feel calmer once they have had a piece of chocolate. So chocolate might be healthier for them at this time because it helps them to release some negativity and think happier thoughts. I have found for myself that as much as I love chocolate that it is actually bad for me. Some women get huge headaches from eating chocolate. Unfortunately, I am one of them. Certain types of chocolate will give me an immediate headache. Chocolate has chemicals in it, and for some reason my body just reacts badly to those chemicals. Chocolate can be a headache trigger for many people. I also get really bad heartburn from eating chocolate. I find it better just to skip that yummy chocolate because it is just really hard and painful on my body. It is just not healthy for me to eat it.
Other women do not find chocolate healthy because there is so much sugar and fat in it. It can be a diabetic’s nightmare. Eating chocolate can really throw a person’s sugars off. Plus, if you have worries of being obese you might want to put that chocolate candy bar down, and grab a healthier snack to eat. Chocolate is just empty calories. Eating it can give your body a sort of high energy at first, but then you can have a very swift lowering of energy which is bad for your body.
Chocolate also has caffeine in it. That can make some women feel shaky. Caffeine is also bad for your heart. If you eat a lot of chocolate, it can also raise your cholesterol.
