IRT: Deadliest Roads, Season 1 Finale, Episode 10 aired on History Channel Sunday night, which saw Lisa Kelly and the other drivers haul flammable jet fuel. Their journey is made that much tougher with traffic jams and bad weather. Season 1, Episode 10 of IRT: Deadliest Roads saw only one driver ultimately finish the job. The lone woman driver Lisa Kelly shows up the two male drivers in the Finale. Viewers can decide if Rick Yemm and Dave Redmon “chickened out.”
Lisa Kelly Goes It Alone with the Jet Fuel on IRT : Deadliest Roads, Season 1 Finale, Episode 10
At Manali, barrels of helicopter fuel need to be taken up the Rohtang Pass to a helipad. Rick starts the show already loaded with fuel, ahead of the other two. He’s thinking of his upcoming job on Canada’s ice roads. Yemm isn’t happy because he can’t smoke, which is stressing him out more in the traffic jam. For Lisa Kelly and Dave Redmon, some of the barrels are leaking on the wood of the truck beds, and Sanjeev is smoking in the cab of Redmon’s truck until Lisa asks Dave to ask Sanjeev to stop. On the way up, the drivers coming the other way are over the center of the road, infuriating Redmon. Soon, a car sideswipes Dave’s truck, creating an ensuing mob scene, but after a bunch of yapping, everyone goes on their way on the Season 1 Finale, Episode 10 of IRT : Deadliest Roads .
The three drivers slowly crawl up the pass, and are soon engulfed in fog. Wet roads have to be contested. Sanjeev is told to ask why only cars are coming down the hill and not going up, and a driver tells him that the road is closed. The drivers struggle in the midst of traffic to turn their trucks around. Coming back down, they encounter a traffic accident with injuries. The bad day ends at Manali, where the drivers decide what to do. Lisa Kelly stymies Redmon and Yemm by her offering to take the three loads to the helipad. The next day, Lisa has left with the fuel without even telling the other two drivers.
Lisa Kelly Outdoes Dave and Rick on IRT : Deadliest Roads, Season 1, Episode 10
Rick and Dave head back to Delhi and self-congratulate each other for braving the Indian roads, though they didn’t fulfill the toughest challenge. Did the two “big, strong” drivers “chicken out” over the jet fuel despite braving the other challenges? Lisa has come to terms with taking on the challenges in India, and is comfortable with this most dangerous one. She gets the jet fuel to the rescue helicopters, and has a lot to be proud of, winning with nine loads hauled overall. It’s not stated what happens to her companion dog.
