This is for all of those tired of looking for a casual free game that has both PVE(player versus environment) and PVP(player versus player) content and more this would be ideal. This game is new and is seeking new ways to bring people in. The game content is relatively new but at the same time carries some old school strict class point system skill allocating. What I think was cool is that they have three different types of races but they have a lot of classes that go into subclass further in which all have different play styles. Some classes match some of each others moves but they are distributed differently and they take a different type of skill to play the class well. The company works hard trying to balance the classes for both PVP and PVE and they do listen to what everyone has to say unlike other MMORPG’s even the ones that cost you money which I wont mention but veteran players will know which ones.
Iris Online has multiple class buffing and at the same time a card system of buffing which is fun. The card system has a list of cards which you must collect at least three of each and have a item called a spread which is a variation of buffs listed. When you attain this you need fairy dust and you click “fortune” and flip certain cards over in a random order which gives you a buff on the spread. By mastering this and choosing the right cards you can obtain the buffs you want, fixed with your class. You also can get a job assistant which helps you make money in the game and helps the guild, friends, and others by creating whatever job you choose to do. The jobs are alchemy, card master, and cook. Each job plays a major roll on equipment and buffing of yourself and others but it is hard to level this skill assistant which creates an economic balance in the game. Not everyone succeeds in there job either because they out leveled there job so going back to find the items to level could be annoying and to buy recipes are costly!
The game play is the best because you do not have to grind at anytime, you can simply log out for the day and log back in the next day and have a variation of things to do called “dailies” hence once a day. Even if you are all nullified from leveling and doing quests with friends you can join the PVP arena games which are held every few minutes and even sends you a queue so you do not have to look for it and see if it is ready and wait. Iris Online has a dungeon rule where you can only complete a dungeon once a day thus not crowding the auction house with rare items and letting them stay rare. The guild has a different system as well compared to other games in the sense that the guild has skill points as well. When the guild hits certain level you can allocate those points into skills to help the guild and make it look more nice or buff the guild people’s characters which enhance the game play and make it easier to level.
The game at first look does not look like much but do not give up. After hitting a higher level and communicating with people you can enjoy this casual game play and at the same time take time off when you need to and come back because it is a free game. Even though this is a free game one can further enhance there playing by buying items from the cash shop to wear costumes or cards to buff your character. I enjoy this game because it is not pricey compared to the cliche fifteen dollars a month games when you want more. Anyone can definitely get more for their money with fifteen dollars a month in this game and enjoy the spending in the cash shops with exclusive items.
