I live on a rotating sphere shooting through space.
In a time when man can fly in planes, and rocket ships.
When we have walked on the moon, and have an international space station.
To be born in this time out of millions of years of life on our planet
what are the odds?
I exist on this same planet with billions of other so called humans.
There are males, females, gays, lesbians, and some to confussed to tell.
Even limiting this thought to just straight men and women that still leaves billions each.
Yes millions of possible mates with similar likes, dislikes and mutual attractions.
Now the hard part finding the right one what are the odds?
This planet is only one of many planets in a solar system orbiting one sun.
Positioned in a galaxy that has billions of solar systems.
Each and every galaxy with trillions of planets orbiting billions of suns.
True that at this time it is unknown if any of those planets contain life.
But with more planets out there then we have grains of sand on earth.
What are the odds of not only life but intelligent life?
So with billions upon trillions of other planets which may contain life.
And throughout all of eternity that this universe has been in exitance.
Second by second pulling farther apart, pushing each planet further away.
Constantly ever expanding throughout all of time.
To find anyone at all at this exact moment in time or location in the universe.
More less finding a potential mate for example the same species, one male and one female, in the truly cosmic picture what are the odds?
Now on a more simple view. On a planet that has males and females of the same species, which is important to avoid becoming extinct. We have managed to pair off and find mates for millions of years populating the earth with billions of people.
Each one may pass by millions of the opposite sex throughout their entire lifetime.
So the chance of meeting a mate just any sexual partner has to be good right?
But what about that so called soul mate, the perfect one person for each of us?
Throughout all of time, and all of miles of land on earth,
with tons of different languages, to actually find your true soul mate what are the odds?
This is just a thought for all of us no matter if you have that special someone or not.
If you have found your soul mate, your one true love.
That person who you love beyond everything. Who you cant live without.
That one person who’s kisses take you off to a world made just for you two with each and every kiss.
If it doesn’t matter if it is the first time you kiss or it has been a million kisses and they are all still filled with the same fire as the first.
If after a year apart with once glance, one touch, or one kiss you are right back to that dreamland of wonderment you find only in each others arms. If when you are together you can kiss forever and never want to stop.
If you haven’t found that special one yet then I tell you the odds are that there is a greater power that controls this all. If it was up to us we would have perished as a species. And it doesn’t all just happen so love yourself and trust that if it was just up to the odds nobody would find anyone. Your soul mate is out there for you. Good hunting.
So if you have beat the odds then
hold on to that with all your might, give everything to each other.
Cherish every second it wont last forever and honestly you truly don’t want to have to
calculate all of this out to see if someone else is right for you
after all what are the odds.
