Hugh Hefner of Playboy has gotten quite a reaction from ex-girlfriends regarding his engagement to 24-year-old, Crystal Harris. As many ex-lovers as Hefner has, there may be a lot more to come. However, three notably famous women have been very vocal about Hugh’s engagement so far.
Recently, ex-girlfriend of six years and former star of “Girls Next Door,” Holly Madison, expressed her disappointment in a not-so-diplomatic way.
“Basically, I think he could do better,” Holly told Life & Style.
She said she had to be honest because if she told them congratulations, everyone would know she didn’t mean it. She’s supposedly worried Hefner’s fiancee is marrying him for the wrong reasons and feels she’ll hurt him.
On Friday another ex-girlfriend came forward and spoke her mind on Hugh Hefner’s engagement. Kendra Wilkinson, part of “Girls Next Door” fame and now on her own show, “Kendra,” is very supportive about Hef and Crystal’s engagement.
“You can just tell there’s a whole other meaning of love in him. I feel like she’s the girl for him,” she said on Huffington Post.
Kendra, however did say she wishes that Hef proposed to Holly when they were together.
“We all thought it was going to be Holly!” Kendra told In Touch magazine. “He’s like any man – he was having fun and wasn’t ready. I guess he was too young,” she said.
Yet another ex of Hugh Hefner’s, Bridget Marquardt, came forward to give her opinion. She’s also a former roommate of Holly Madison’s and was on “Girls Next Door” as well.
“I just hope that they’re both happy and that they’ve thought it through and that they’re making the right decision,” Bridget told EOnline. “If so, I’m totally happy for them.”
Bridget acknowledged Holly’s reaction and agreed it was good for her to speak her mind.
“I think she’s definitely very protective over Hef and the decisions that he makes and I think that’s good for her to share her opinions,” Bridget said. “Hopefully Hef reads that and takes her thoughts into consideration as well. But he’s a grown man and if they’re both happy…then whatever.”
In addition, Bridget reminds everyone that Holly was interested in having kids and the Playboy publisher didn’t want that.
“Everything happens for a reason and timing just wasn’t right for her,” Bridget explained, “And that’s probably a good thing because he couldn’t give her everything she wanted!”
Will more ex-girlfriends of Hugh Hefner show up to speak their minds over his engagement to Crystal Harris? These women certainly gave a strong reaction to the announcement. When Holly Madison’s show, “Holly’s World” is back on for season 2 at the end of January, she will meet with Hugh and Crystal. That should be a highly viewed episode!
