Las Vegas — also known as Sin City is one destination that can be anything you desire in the form of a memorable vacation. In terms of weather, during the spring and summer months the city is quite hot. If you are visiting in the fall or winter months of the year, the temperature may end up being a bit chilly or cold. In other words, remember to check the weather report before you decide to pack your luggage for the trip.
If you are a woman visiting the city — you may find yourself wondering exactly what you should wear. In order to answer the question, one must fully consider what she will be doing during the trip. Check out our advice and tips on how to dress for an enjoyable vacation in Las Vegas.
Casino, Shopping, or Hanging Out in the Hotel
You are destined to see people from all walks of life wearing everything imaginable — but it is still a good idea to look your best while maintaining a degree of comfort. Las Vegas is one city where you never know who you will see — Hollywood stars, NBA players or anyone else. Admittedly, I’m not a t-shirt and denim sort of girl wherever I am in the world, but I certainly would not opt to go super casual in Vegas. As a woman, you can be comfy and cute in linen slacks, a trendy sundress or even tailored shorts paired with a stylish top.
Nightclub or Lounge
Clubs in Las Vegas are often quite selective in terms of who they choose to let into their doors. Flip flops, unattractive jeans with holes, and generally unsophisticated apparel usually does not fly. As a general rule, unless you are an A-list celebrity like Lindsay Lohan — if you want to get into a club in Las Vegas — dress to impress.
Casual Dining at a Buffet
If you are dining at a place like the popular buffet at the Wynn, casual attire is suggested. Jeans, shorts, or anything along those lines is acceptable.
For reservations at places like Alex or Picasso, a woman should wear something along the lines of a little black dress or something even dressier. In terms of establishments such as the ones named, a dress should always be elegant. I would suggest a garment with a hem that falls right at knee length (somewhere close to it) or longer. Avoid wearing dresses that look like they should be worn to a trendy nightclub in Las Vegas.
The Vegas Show
If you are lucky enough to obtain tickets to a Vegas show like Love, Phantom or O, most of the time you can wear just about anything. What do I wear? I’ve worn everything from a simple red Prada dress to a more casual printed silk selection by Nicole Miller. I glimpsed other women in a variety of outfits — jeans to outfits that were dressier than mine. As long as the person or group you are with chooses to dress in a comparable manner — anything is A-OK.
