When those winter winds begin to blow, nothing warms the stomach and lifts the spirit like a steaming bowl of delicious soup. The comforting feeling that comes from feasting on a filling soup with a tasty broth is incomparable. I recently spotted Healthy Choice Beef Pot Roast Soup on my local grocery store shelf and couldn’t wait to give it a try. I have always been a fan of this line of nutritious and delicious foods and was quite sure that I would enjoy this product as well.
The picture on the front of the can definitely whets your appetite from first sight. It features a hearty looking beef broth filled with chunks of savory meat, potatoes, carrots, green beans and celery. I loved how all the ingredients of a traditional pot roast dinner are included in this soup. The label also boasts it’s low calorie content, which is definitely a great advantage to this convenience meal. I paid only $1.99 for a fifteen ounce can. I definitely felt as though this was a very fair price.
Preparation of this product takes only minutes and is very simple. Young adults just learning their way around the kitchen can very easily provide themselves with a tasty and nutritious meal with this product. After carefully removing the lid from the top of the can, the contents are poured into a small saucepan and heated on a low setting on a traditional stove. The soup should be stirred occasionally to mix the flavors and ensure even heating. This meal can also be heated in the microwave on a High setting for only two minutes in an appropriate container. The container should be covered to prevent splattering.
One cup of this canned soup contains only one hundred and ten calories. There is only one gram of Fat per serving, with point five grams of Saturated Fat and no Trans Fat. I was not disappointed with Healthy Choice Beef Pot Roast Soup. The broth was a delicious blend of spices and nicely added to the overall flavor. The meat was plentiful and very tender. The potatoes and vegetables all tasted very fresh and had a nice soft texture. This meal was very filling and satisfying. Although the Sodium content is a bit high, I would not hesitate to purchase this product again. On the days that I enjoy this soup, I will make the necessary allowances with my other meals. I give this soup a four star rating and happily recommend it to others.
