Glenn Beck has been dropped by the New York radio station WOR due to poor ratings. The story was reported in the New York Daily News. Beck will be replaced by Mike Gallagher, a nationally syndicated conservative talk show host.
And that’s too bad, because I have a lot of friends who wake up in the morning simply because they know there’s a man out there, somewhere in the world, named Glenn Beck. If they lose confidence in their man, Beck, they will lose confidence in themselves.
I have to be careful when I write about Glenn Beck. If I say anything offbeat, nasty, or even slightly complicated, the Beck supporters (and Tea Party groupies) come at me in droves shouting things like: You are the enemy! You must not be American, if you don’t support Glenn Beck! Go back to your pansexual bars! Enjoy your West Coast orgies! (don’t believe it, see it here)
The only orgy I know going on is in Washington. And I wasn’t invited, and neither were you: Obama & GOP’s dollar-sucking orgy celebrating the wealthiest Americans.
I accept all of those criticisms. Unfortunately, Glenn Beck’s ratings are falling. As the HuffPost reports: “Although Beck’s radio show is the third-biggest in the country, WOR program director Scott Wakefield told the Daily News, ‘Somewhat to our surprise, the show wasn’t getting what we wanted'” (source).
Good Lord, it’s a conspiracy. The Bushs, Rockefellers, and Rothschilds of the world have stuck it to the man with all of the information! They said, this man Glenn Beck keeps jamming his electric theories of truth up our bums, and we’re sick of it. Can him!
Rumor has it, here in Wilshire Center, Los Angeles, that the ruling elite sent WOR a secret letter calling for Glenn Beck’s dismissal. A man wearing an American flag hard hat and matching cowboy boots kept putting his finger in an old lady’s face to emphasize the list of powerful people responsible for Beck’s dismissal. Phoo, is all the old lady kept saying. They were standing outside of Ralph’s grocery store, and the Ralph’s security guard told the man to quiet down. “I’m American,” the man shouted and pointed to his hard hat.
To rub sea salt in Glenn Beck’s seeping wound, Politico reported that Beck’s TV ratings also took a slight hit in 2010. Beck fell 6.5 percent in total viewers compared to 2009. With viewers aged 25-54, Beck lost 2.5 percent. (source)
Maybe these viewers finally agree with Bill Maher: Glenn Beck isn’t spouting facts, he’s close to playing with his poop. (source)
