Free Activities for Everyone

On Saturday March 19, 2011 at 3 p.m., you must see Suzy Sicora,she will host “Holistic Nutrition.”

Poetry Under the Stars will take place on Tuesday, March 8, 2011. From 6:30-7:00 p.m. you can meet the poets. At 7 p.m everyone will gather inside the Dome where there will be poetry reading. These are fun free family activities.

Don’t forget Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 4p.m-8p.m. There will be a FREE Women’s Night Out. This is an open house for woman ages 16 and older. Some of the classes that will be offered are African Dance, Aqua Fitness, Yoga, Zumba, and much more. These are just a few of the things to do in Flint, Michigan. The keynote speaker will be Erin Ferme. She has lost over 400 pounds. Her presentation is entitled, “The Do Over.” Childcare will be available for children ages 2-12 years old.

On Saturday March 5, 2011 there will be a Dr. Seuss Birthday Party from 3:30 p.m. -4:30 p.m by Chris Heron, the presenter. There will be craft making and storytelling. You do not want to miss these fun activities. These are FREE activities for kids.

If you love to knit or know someone that loves to knit, they would enjoy “Knitting for a Cause.” You will make Chemo Caps. This will be on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 2-3p.m. This is a free event for adults in the General Reading Room. This is a great cause.

A Community Basic Needs Fair will be on Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 10 a.m-1 p.m. High School, College, Adults, and Seniors are welcome for this FREE event. Numerous agencies will be there with information regarding assistance with shelter, housing, and much more. This is an event that you will not want to miss.
