Finding a pair of 3D glasses that fit your head and face correctly is tough enough, finding a pair that fit nicely and are compatible with your TV is a whole other issue. Not all 3D glasses are compatible with all 3D televisions; in fact most 3D glasses are specifically designed for a certain 3D HD television set and won’t even turn on if the television is not sending them a unique 3D signal.
Understanding this is your first step in finding the perfect pair of 3D glasses, and below are a few of the top quality 3D glasses for specific television manufacturers.
Samsung SSG-220AR Rechargeable Adult 3D Glasses – I love their almost retro look, and these Samsung SSG glasses are compatible with the 750 LCD series, 7000-9000 LED series, and 7000 and 8000 PDP series of Samsung 3D televisions. These glasses are rechargeable and feature a really comfortable fit on medium and smaller size faces.
LG AG-S100 3D Active Shutter Glasses – Not the best looking pair of glasses, but the best working pair of 3D glasses for LG series LX9500, LEX9, LEX8, and the LX6500 3D television sets. Unfortunately the glasses look like ski goggles with two different colored lenses, but the feel and functionality of these glasses make up for the aesthetics.
Panasonic TY-EW3D2LU 3D Active Shutter Eyewear – What I like about these glasses is that they are compatible with a large variety of Panasonic 3D televisions if not all of them; and they also have a unique color scheme, and are rather comfortable, especially if you wear glasses.
ViewSonic PGD-150 Active Stereographic 3D Shutter Glasses – These glasses work well with ViewSonic monitors and a large variety of Mitsubishi and Samsung 3D television sets. I like how these glasses look and feel on the face; unfortunately they are a bit rigid and made from cheap materials so not sure how well they would hold up in a family environment.
NXG Technology NX-3DG Active Shutter Type 3D Glasses – If you have a Samsung and need a pair of 3D glasses for under $100, these goggles will fit the bill. Nice look and feel, especially for people who already wear glasses, these NXG 3D glasses are a great deal; they are not compatible with Panasonic or Mitsubishi 3D televisions.
VIZIO VSG102 Full HD 3D Rechargeable Glasses – Good deal for a pair of 3D glasses, a bit bulky, definitely look like cool ski goggles. Work great with 3D Vizio televisions my only concern is with the bulkiness of the glasses may be tough to view more than 2 hours at a time.
