Drama…does it ever end? I have recently discovered online drama and how much it is a nuisance to be a part of. There is a game called Sorority Life, a game that many take too seriously, some take too much to heart, and too many enjoy lighting the fire and spreading the drama.
Here is what I have learned: life is too short to engage in petty junior high dilemmas, if you allow them to people will smile at your discomfort, and that online bullies are alive and well.
But is drama necessary to play the game? No, in my opinion it’s not a vital part of the game. Are the friendships worth the time spent defending oneself against it all? I would say yes.
Here’s how I look at it: whether in game or in real life I try to treat people well. And when/if I don’t I expect karma to bite me. Treat people well and you will get it back. Don’t forget it is just a game and when it comes down to it you can do the right thing or the wrong thing – just like it real life. Why not do the right thing and treat others well? If others would follow this simple mentality the game wouldn’t be so bad. But just like in real life there is always at least one person why thrives on making others feel bad. And I don’t think the game is worth the discomfort in life.
