Fans of “DWTS” have been waiting all winter to find out who would be starring on their favorite reality television shown. During “The Bachelor” recently, ABC released the list of stars that will be dancing their hearts out to win the coveted mirror ball trophy. Did your favorite pick make the final roster, were the rumors true? For those that did not watch “The Bachelor,” here is the official roster for “DWTS” Season 12.
Chelsea Kane – Singer and star, this Disney princess starred on “Jonas L.A.” and hopes to dance her way into the judge’s hearts.
Sugar Ray Leonard – Sugar Ray won his first professional fight at the age of twenty in 1977 and continued to win world titles in five different weight classes (a record that still stands today). He is not new to reality TV having been a mentor and host on the “Contender”.
Ralph Macchio – Movie and television star best known for his role as Daniel in “The Karate Kid” movies from the 1980s but will he have the dance moves to win the mirror ball.
Petra Nemcova – Model and host of “A Model Life”, Petra survived the tsunami that hit Thailand in 2004 where she was vacationing. Petra has been quoted as saying she loves to dance but does she have any talent? We will have to wait to see.
Romeo – Better known as Lil’ Romeo and the son of Master P hopes that he will do better on the dance floor than he did on the basketball court. Singer, basketball player and actor – Romeo now adds dancer to the list.
Kirstie Alley – best known for her role as Rebecca Howe on “Cheers” and her struggles with her weight, Kirstie will try to impress the judges and avoid bad press.
Kendra Wilkinson – Kendra is definitely not the girl next door; however, most men wish that she were. Reality television star and Playboy bunny, Kendra will need to do more than the bunny hop to win the judge’s admiration.
Chris Jericho – Wrestler, actor, radio host and television personality, Chris Jericho seems to have done it all. However, dancing is something that trips up even the best contenders.
Wendy Williams – Host of “The Wendy Williams Show,” Wendy is a celebrated radio host, television talk show host, author and hopeful dancer. She has the gift of gab but she will not be able to talk her way through the judges’ critique.
Hines Ward – This Pittsburgh Steelers receiver is using his off-season time to learn the moves on the dance floor. He has good footwork on the field but will it parlay into a trip to the final three.
Mike Catherwood – Psycho Mike, as he is better known to his loyal radio fans, is an American radio personality. He is best known for his work at KROQ-FM and as the co-host of Loveline, a syndicated radio call-in program. Another star that has the gift for gab – – are the producers trying to spark the dialogue too?
