by tree pony

You can make this DIY Green Glass Beaded Bracelet and Earrings set for ‘wearing the green’ this St. Patrick’s Day. It’s easy-to-make, even for beginners. You can make the whole set in about one hour. Whether you’re Irish or Irish at heart, you’ll love this beaded bracelet and earrings set.

Materials & Directions to Make DIY Green Glass Beaded Bracelet:

Large green cylinder shaped glass bead for accent bead
Glass seed beads – green and clear glass
Assortment of glass beads – clear and various shades of green (Available at Walmart for under $5.)
1 Silver metal clover charm
1 Silver jump ring
Stretch Magic Bead & Jewelry Cord (elastic) .7 mm diameter
1 Crimp bead

Cut Stretch Magic elastic cord to fit comfortably around your wrist plus one inch. Thread a large green cylinder shaped bead onto the elastic cord as an accent bead for the center of the beaded bracelet. On either side of this accent bead add a clear bead and your choice of beads in clear and green shades, keeping the design symmetrical. When you’ve reached the desired length of the beaded bracelet, thread a crimp bead to one end of the elastic cord. Thread the other end of the elastic cord through the opposite side of the crimp bead. Gently flatten the crimp bead with flat nose pliers (or a crimping tool if you have one.) Trim the elastic cord.

To finish this beaded bracelet, add a silver metal clover charm to a jump ring. Attach next to the accent bead.

Materials & Directions To Make DIY Green Glass Beaded Earrings:

2 Clear glass beads for accent beads on earrings
Assortment of green glass beads (larger than seed beads, in various shapes)
Glass seed beads – clear and green
2 Ear wires
Polyester beading thread
Needle
Scissors
Clear nail polish or white glue

Begin making your beaded earrings by threading a needle with a 15″ piece of polyester thread. Knot one end of the thread to the ear wire. Thread three seed beads with a green, clear, green pattern. Next, thread on a green bead that is larger than the seed beads.

The next nine beads will form the beaded earring’s hanging loop. Thread on two green seed beads, two larger green beads in different shapes, and a clear bead as the accent bead. Repeat and match beads for the other side of loop so design is symmetrical.

Put the thread through bead number four and the top three seed beads. This will pull the thread into the desired loop design of the beaded earring. Knot the thread tightly to the ear wire. Bring the threaded needle back down through the top four beads. Cut thread. Coat the knotted thread on the connector ring with clear nail polish or white glue to finish.

Your DIY Green Glass Beaded Bracelet and Earrings set are ready to wear! May the blessings of St. Patrick’s Day and the “Luck of the Irish” be with you.
