The corners have had much to do with this but a fast and aggressive front seven has also contributed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers success. Against the run they decent. They are allowing 116 yards per game on the ground.
Drew Stanton is the Detroit Lions third string quarterback but he has held his own over the last few weeks. It helps that he has the one of the best wide receivers in the NFL on his roster in Calvin Johnson. The running game has been inconsistent for the Detroit Lions with Jahvid Best and Kevin Smith coming out of the back field. They are rushing for just 85 yards per game but the team is passing for over 250 yards per game. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense has the edge over the Detroit Lions.

Williams has been ineffective of late as the change of pace back but this could be his opportunity to get back in the rotation.
Josh Freeman and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made it this far in the season and are still in contention to make the NFL Playoffs. Mike Williams has been Freeman’s number one go to receiver and a synergy has been created between the two over the course of the 2010 NFL season.
