Crumbs Bakeshop is located in Los Angeles, California in the heart of the popular Hollywood scene. It’s amongst one of the most popular cupcake boutiques in the Southern California region and it’s definitely worth the journey!
Before, I’ve only heard of Crumbs Bakeshop through Yelp and celebrity endorsements. I finally went on their website and checked out their flavors. I was utterly impressed with their huge variety of flavors. Not only that but they offered flavors that weren’t typical which includes Cotton Candy, Smores, Caramel Apple and Cookies n’ Cream.
I decided to give this place a try since I haven’t heard one negative thing about this place and I’m extremely glad I gave Crumbs Bakeshop a try. The cupcake boutique is located inside the Hollywood and Highland Center which is a popular mall on Hollywood Boulevard. I initially thought Crumbs Bakeshop was located on the trip but it’s actually located inside the mall on the first story.
Plan your trip ahead before you visit Crumbs Bakeshop! Make note that this place is where all the tourists go and it’s almost always packed. Parking can be a hassle because there isn’t street parking. All the parking structures and parking lots can get expensive. The closest parking areas charge $15 all day or $10 for two hours. If you’re lucky, you might be able to snatch a parking meter in one of the alleys near the mall which charges $.25 for every 15 minutes. Parking can be expensive but if you’re looking to just check Crumbs Bakeshop out and leave right away, you shouldn’t have any problems. For those who want to explore Hollywood Boulevard in depth, you might have better luck paying in the parking areas.
Crumbs Bakeshop is this cute cupcake boutique located on the 1st floor of the Hollywood and Highland Center. It’s a small area so not a lot of people can fit in at once. There aren’t any places where you can sit and enjoy your cupcake but for your convenience there are tables and chairs right outside where you can sit. The boutique is beautifully lit up and the menu is large enough for you not to move around or squint your eyes to read.
I arrived about an hour before they closed and I was surprised to see how many flavors of cupcakes they actually had left! When I looked on their website, I was a little turned off by the fact that their cupcakes cost so much money. $3.75 just for one? When I saw the cupcakes in person, I knew instantly why they cost so much. These cupcakes are not your average sized cupcake, they’re huge!
I purchased the ever so popular, Red Velvet, their flavor of the month, Vanilla Hot Chocolate and a Dulce de Leche. These were the first cupcakes I didn’t want to touch because they were so cute! I wanted to bring them home and display them around my apartment. They come in plastic containers along with a Crumbs Bakeshop plastic bag. I was hoping they tasted better than they looked — and they did. All flavors took my breath away! Red Velvet was a complete hit. All cupcakes were moist, had the right amount of frosting inside the cupcake and on top and tasted delicious!
The staff was kind and very knowledgeable. With all their cupcake flavors, it was hard to keep track! They were informative and knew exactly what went into each cupcake without having to look at a menu.
Overall, I plan on visiting Crumbs Bakeshop every time I’m in the Los Angeles area. Sure, it may be hard to get to but the destination and taste factor is definitely worth it in the end.
The best part? Each cupcake is topped with crumbs — hence their name, Crumbs Bakeshop!
