Express to your spouse how you feel. You don’t need to hide your feelings about how you feel. Express how you feel about your spouse’s body odor using “I messages”. You can say, “I think those armpits could use some deodorant. I feel nauseas when I smell those armpits from across the room. I want those armpits to be washed and layered with deodorant.” By using “I messages” your expressing what you think, feel and want without blaming your spouse for their body odor.
#2 Tip on spouse’s body odor.
Create a romantic bubble bath just for your spouse. Let your spouse know you want to pamper them. Have candles lit around the bathtub, some sparkling apple cider available for sipping while bathing and some romantic music. As your spouse is relaxing in the bathtub proceed to clean their body using a body brush. After you scrub your spouse’s body shampoo their hair. This is a romantic ritual that you can do every other day and it’s one your spouse will enjoy.
#3 Tip on spouse’s body odor.
Wash your spouse’s clothes. Sometimes it’s not so much your spouse’s body but it’s their clothes that have maintained the body odor from previous wears. So do yourself and your spouse a favor and wash those clothes. Add some nice smelly scents to the wash. By washing your spouse’s clothes you can eliminate or greatly reduce the body odor.
#4 Tip on spouse’s body odor.
Give your spouse some cologne or perfume to help mask the body odor. Cologne and perfume can’t eliminate the body odor but can hide the smell. Just make sure the scent you select is one you can bare with and one that is not too over powering. Otherwise you may feel find yourself gagging over the toilet.
#5 Tip on spouse’s body odor.
Stay away from your spouse. Go to a different room or sit across from your spouse instead of next to them. I am sure your spouse at some point will wonder why you don’t want to be close to them. When they ask let your spouse know there is something on their body that is causing you to feel like throwing up. Let your spouse know your unsure as to what it is but it’s not making you feel good. This will motivate your spouse to do everything they can to eliminate their body odor. Especially if it involves being physically intimate with you.
If these tips have been applied and your spouse still has body odor then I would highly suggest encouraging your spouse to see a doctor. There could be some sort of health issue that is causing the body odor.
