Concerts are one of the most exciting things you can do for fun, especially if you’re a music lover. Spring and summer of 2011 is shaping up to be a great season of live musical entertainment as many top musical acts are taking to the road to promote their latest efforts.
Lady GaGa continues her year-long “Monster’s Ball” Tour with dates through April. Big name pop stars Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry are headlining shows throughout North America this summer. Nostalgia driven tours, such as Janet Jackson, New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys will be entertaining audiences with their greatest hits and the cast of the ever popular television show Glee will be embarking on their second seasonal tour this summer. Lady GaGa – Monster’s Ball Tour
Lady GaGa has been touring for almost a year now and she’s still going strong. The singer says that the show is the “first ever pop-electro opera…more of a musical and less of a concert” so expect to be entertained with this one. Look for GaGa to be adding her brand new record-breaking single “Born This Way” to her repertoire as she continues the tour through the end of April. Rihanna – Loud Tour
Fresh off the heels of her hugely popular “Loud” album, Rihanna will be returning from the first leg of her tour in Europe this summer with at least 17 shows throughout the major cities of North America. Joining the ever popular singer on the North American leg of her tour will be Cee Lo Green, half of the duo Gnarls Barkley and a recent Grammy nominee. Sade – Soldier of Love Tour
It’s not often that this silky smooth band comes along to treat us with their gift of song. In fact, the singer and her band have not toured the US in ten years. Recently added as an opening act for the “Soldier of Love Tour” is acclaimed singer/songwriter John Legend. This is one show that’s not to be missed! Katy Perry
Katy Perry begins her US tour in support of the “Teenage Dream” album in Atlanta on June 7th and continues through until August 20th in St. Louis. Pop/dance music sensation Robyn will be joining Katy on several dates. For tour dates, check out Katy’s website here.
Taylor Swift
Country music superstar Taylor Swift brings her latest world tour in support of “Speak Now” back to the US with two dates in Omaha, Nebraska on May 27th and 28th and she continues on all the way through to October 29th in Lexington, Kentucky. Adele

Ah, the boy bands of yesteryear! Two favorite boy bands from the 80’s and 90’s join forces for a trip down memory lane as New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys team up for a tour of North American cities this summer, beginning on May 26th in Grand Rapids and finishing on August 7th in London, Ontario.
