Magical Chili Chocolate Truffles
2/3 cup whipping cream
2 tablespoon ground dried New Mexico chili powder
12 ounces semisweet chocolate — coarsely chopped
3 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
Cayenne pepper powder
Mix the cream and chili powder in a sauce pan.
Stir over low heat until the mixture is bubbly.
Slowly add chocolate continuing to stir until the chocolate is melted.
Add cayenne to taste. (a small pinch will add spicy heat to the chocolates)
Cover and chill for about 2 hours.
Form the chocolate mixture into small one inch balls.
Roll in unsweetened cocoa to coat.
Set on a plate, cover and chill.
