Charlie Sheen is very visible these days as his life reveals a raging storm for all to see. He is one of many hurting people who live tumultuous lives because they haven’t found how to find happiness.
You Can Run From Happiness
Charlie Sheen’s internal anger is displayed in domestic violence, lawsuits and exploding in his new tour called, “Charlie Sheen Live: My Violent Torpedo of Truth” which runs through May 3, 2011. Even his tour name clues us to his internal violence and lack of happiness. Some people see his newfound fame as a comeback from being cut from the sitcom Two And A Half Men. Many people do not face real truth about themselves when they are hurting. People will naturally run full force away from happiness when they don’t face truth.
You Can’t Be Your Own God
People who elude happiness tend to focus on themselves instead of helping others in this life. As they focus on themselves and their many hurtful situations, they get caught up in trying to control others. When other people don’t confirm to their logic or behavior and cannot be controlled, they may erupt in violent ways. Charlie Sheen is known for teaching other celebrities how to trash motels – hardly a role model for any person watching his actions. A person who finds happiness realizes there is someone bigger than they are to learn from and model. God’s character is certainly not abusive but loving and supportive and spending time with Him will change us and put us under His proper authority.
Finding a Purpose and Plan Brings Happiness
Charlie Sheen is definitely searching for something and as yet doesn’t seem to have discovered what that is. When a person makes the big bucks, they can potentially disintegrate into a shell of existence because they lose the purpose and plan for their lives. Every person has a God-ordained reason for being born. The pursuit of drugs, women and wild partying will not bring Charlie Sheen or anyone else happiness. These fleeting activities leave a hollow core instead of putting happiness within reach. In Elvis Presley’s later years, he admitted he always knew he was supposed to sing for God (he would have been a bigger success). Fame and fortune chose his route instead of staying focused on the purpose and plan God had for him. The same thing happens to many people, Charlie Sheen included.
Happy People Are Responsible
Charlie Sheen has fathered four children and at this writing his twins were given to his estranged wife and it is reported that he never sees his other two children. Children are our legacy and our lives must represent the highest level of excellence to them. We all miss it as parents, but we never want to be in a position like Charlie Sheen and give up precious treasure, our children. This continues to make us hurting people.
Happiness Means Being Able to Control Your Emotions
Our constant anger, depression, sadness and other harmful emotions show how much we are hurting and we will not be able to live productive and meaningful lives until we face why we feel certain emotions. Charlie Sheen should be able to teach others how to live well by his actions. The amount of money a person makes does not reflect whether that person is a success.
Slow Down or Stop When Nothing Goes Right
Charlie Sheen had the perfect opportunity to stop and reflect on his life and see what improvements he could make so that happiness was within his reach. A lot of quiet soul searching puts us in a position to hear from God who has the answers we need. When people listen more than they speak, they are in a position to learn and change.
Forgiveness Brings Happiness
Life brings disappointments to everyone which usually involves people we love who hurt us. I do not doubt that Charlie Sheen has been badly hurt because his life reflects un-forgiveness towards others. When every person we meet becomes our constant source of irritation, it’s time to forgive them or else we will continue to condemn them for everything they do. Love is at the center of forgiveness. If forgiveness isn’t coming quickly, then love has to take over so healing can occur. Forgiveness brings happiness to our soul so that we are no longer hurting people.
We All Need Jesus
God continues to try to wake us up to realize He is God and has answers for all of life’s problems. Life is troublesome. The way we approach life with all of its many turns and surprises will determine the degree of happiness we experience on this earth. Every person faces the dilemma of whether God is the real deal and not just an imagination of people’s minds. God will make Himself real to those who seek Him. I know, without a doubt, there are people praying for Charlie Sheen to find God through Jesus by the power of The Holy Spirit. If anyone personally knows Charlie Sheen, ask him to click here www.LiveTheWordMinistries.org/salvation.htm to be linked to a salvation prayer. He may make fun of this idea for now but God is serious about bringing eternal happiness to his life.
On the surface, a celebrity like Charlie Sheen may seem to have it all. Many hurting people walk around as obvious successes when in fact they are dead inside. I want to see Charlie Sheen at peace with the world and living a life of abundance and happiness.
