The Charlie Sheen 20/20 interview is far from his last. However, the Charlie Sheen 20/20 interview may be the last one of him at his peak for now. In his talks earlier in the week, he was starting to sound a little less wild, at least by his standards. He even got Piers Morgan to be soft on him Monday night, yet last night’s heavily hyped talk on ABC went a little tougher. Since the interview was taped on Saturday, ABC was able to show Sheen at the height of his delusions again.
Things were starting to look a tiny bit better for the troubled actor. He got off easy on Piers Morgan Tonight, and had even started his own Twitter account. However, the most hyped event of his current tour put him back to square one.
Since the interview came after Sheen did dozens more across the nation, ABC was criticized for being late to the party. Nevertheless, they were able to air several gems – a few of which they had already leaked in the promos.
The hour contained the usual greatest hits, like how he is on a drug called Charlie Sheen, how he is a “Vatican assassin warlock,” how he gets his quotes from his “grand wizard master,” and how he has “tiger blood” and “Adonis DNA.” In addition, he reminded Warner Brothers that he was a “peaceful man with bad intentions.”
When the 20/20 interview was filmed, he hadn’t begun his blitz across the rest of television yet. Since it finally aired after dozens of other talks, ABC wound up being late to the party. But since they talked to him before he toned himself down a little bit, it still had the maximum train wreck factor.
Things got worse for the actor off the air as well, after his ex, Brooke Muller, had police take their twin boys from him. They had been cared for by their father and his “goddess” girlfriends, yet Muller alleged that he struck her just last week at the Bahamas, and threatened to cut her head off.
The 20/20 interview may be the climax of Sheen’s current tour, as he has blitzed several networks, Howard Stern, TMZ and more already. Now that he might be out of TV shows, he can take his act to Twitter, and back to the courts as he tries to get his kids back.
