In the European nation of Asticana their once lived a highly honored knight named Charles Dune. He was loyal to his king and country. He was the strongest of the royal knights and was the swiftest as well.
The land itself was a prosperous land that had tones of farm land due to the highly rich soil. The markets were always filled with fresh produce. The crime rate was low due to their not being much else in the country but farm lands. Most treasure was brought in from other countries which marketers were able to obtain due to the land produced unique fruits and vegetables that are not found anywhere else in the world.
But not all was great. The country lied between 3 other nations each one opposing each other. Each of the 3 bigger nations that surrounded it wanted that land for the unique produce but are usually thwarted by one of the other nations.
The other big problem is that the land of Asticana was cursed with a vampire. The vampire would usually suck the blood from it’s victims until they died but on a rare occasion would turn them into one of his vampire servants. Their minds would become corrupt and they know think of nothing but serving their new master.
One day it was said that the evil vampire was at one of the neighboring villages near the royal castle, so the royal knights were dispatched to take it down. 5 knights went into battle with the fiend along with Charles Dune leading the group. Only two returned neither of which were Charles.
“What has happened,” said the King when the two knights entered the royal hall.
“It was an ambush,” said one of the knights.
“We are the only ones that survived,” said the other.
“That’s terrible,” said the Queen, “What of the vampire”.
“I’m afraid it still lives,” said the first knight.
“To lose three royal knights to the fiend,” said the King, “It is unthinkable. Tell me was any of them turned.”
The royal knights looked down to the floor silent.
“No,” said the King, “Who was it.” He said knowing that one must have been turned. “Tell me it wasn’t Sir. Charles.”
“We are actually not really sure for Sir. Charles was taken off by the vampires minions after he was bitten,” said the second royal knight.
“But considering that the vampire knows of his skills he would most likely change him and create a powerful minion for him to control.”
“This isn’t good,” said the King.
Elsewhere in the kingdom.
“Ugh my head,” said Charles as he awoken in cave next to a fire.
“Good your awake now brother,” said a cute girl with long hair and sharp fang like teeth.
“What. Stay back you fiend,” ordered Charles.
“You shouldn’t say that to our sister,” said another vampire as he came out of the shadows of the cave into the light of the fire. The one male with short dark brown hair.
“Sister?” questioned Charles.
“Do you not get it yet,” said the male vampire. “You are one of us now.”
Charles checked his teeth. His fangs have become long and sharper then before.
The male vampire continued. “From now on you are Charles D. Vampire and you will serve are master.”
Charles was shocked but then said. “Never.”
“What said the two vampires.”
“I’ll never served that fiend. My duty to my country and king surpasses what control the monster has over me.”
The two vampire were stunned, no one has ever defied their master after they’ve been turned. They had no time to react as Charles took his sword and cut of their heads in one swift motion.
Charles then got up and headed for the cave entrance only to feel a burn as he stepped into the sunlight. “ahh,” he cried as he scurried back into the cave. “That’s right. Vampires cannot stand the sunlight. Fine than I’ll just have to figure out these vampire things out and then take down that vampire.” Charles went deeper into the cave to figure out what his new vampire powers were.
